Lynxbound watched the kits, a tiny smile on his face. He flicked his tail.

Windkit gulped. She didn't realize how nervous she would be. She again hoped she wouldn't mess up.

[Shinyniney]

Leopardbelly purred at the kits. She remembered how nervous she was on her apprentice ceremony. She turned to Lynxbound, who she was sitting beside and whispered lowly, "I have a feeling these kits will be great apprentices."

[starlord.]

Lightkit was thinking. When do I get my apprentice name?!

Lynxbound looked around. "I agree." He nodded, his eyes sparkling. He waited for Ashstar to continue.

Ashstar nodded at the two and turned to the other kits. "Lightkit, from now on until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Lightpaw." He looked back at the crowd, and searched for the warrior he had selected. "Leopardbelly, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be Lightpaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your wisdom and bravery to Lightpaw, and teach her the skills that will make her a proud warrior of Skyclan."

Leopardbelly pricked her ears at the sound of her name and egarly padded to the Rockpile to touch noses with her new apprentice. When their noses touched, Leopardbelly purred lowly so only Lightpaw could hear, "I'm sure you'll be a great apprentice."

"Thank you." She whispered. She sat next to her mentor, watching Waterkit and Windkit.

Windkit attempted to smile at her sister, but just managed a nod. She felt even smaller than usual with all the gazes upon her and Waterkit.
