Shadestar lead the way out of camp and into the woods they called home. All seemed rather peaceful, besides the sents of the Rogues. He stopped at the border to their territory, looking around. "Let's split up for right now. Wildfur you and Redpaw mark territory to the left. I'll go right. We'll meet up at the stream." He said softly. "This way we'll cover more ground and push back at the Rogues a bit."


Lostsoul/15 Moons/Warrior/Darkpaw


Lostsoul watched Darkpaw as he did as hed shown him. He purred loudly as Darkpaw caught his fish. "Well done Darkpaw! You're going to be such an amazing warrior one day and I can't wait to see it!" He said with big bright smile. "Itd be nice to have you to go on patrols with. At least I know you'll have my back." He said, resting his tail along Darkpaw's shoulders. "And know I'll always have your back and if you ever need help or someone to talk to I'm here for ya!"

Fallenshadow sat down, tail wrapped around his paws. "I heard about him from some passing cats. They looked fierce so I didn't approach them but they were talking about Shadestar and how big and strong looking he was."

Willowbreeze shook her head looking at Branchflight. "What about you?" She asked, glancing around camp. "Do you like anyone here?"

Hollowsight ate the mouse rather quickly and turned his gaze to the entrance. "I think that might ge a good idea. I feel these Rogues are getting too comfortable with being in our territory."

Jasmine tilted her tiny head in thought. "I'm happy with either miss Catherina." She said with a tiny mew. "Thank you for your help." She said before coughing, it shaking her tiny frame, before curling up between her bothers.

Thorn stayed alert as they went along. There were so many sents. Some from their group, others she assumed were from Moonclan cats. She wrinkled her nose at their sents. "So many sents out here. It seems like most of them are our fellow rogues. Let's mark some borders and if we run into some Moonclan cats well we'll handle it."

Halfmask listened to Nightshadow's story a soft sad mew slipping from her muzzle. She had always known the young tom was innocent and had tried hard to convince other cats he was. She had even tried to find him but lost his sent. She never gave up trying however and seeing him standing there was like seeing a ghost.

Ice nodded in agreement. "I know a place we can do just that." She said, keeping her eyes on the dark tom. "It would seem so. Not that I'd mind that so much. I do like your company." She purred at him. She couldn't lie Vinesnake intrigued her and she felt herself wanting to be near him. She lead him to a small pond near the camp. "This should cover our sents." She said, wading into the pond, the sun hitting her white pelt.

Nightshadow shook his head. "What does it matter?" He hissed out. "I'll never be welcome in the clan again and if I was I know cats would still blame me." His tail was lashing behind him as he spoke. "But you want the truth here. Me and Coonefur where hunting by the cliffs. They lost their footing and fell, but most think I pushed them because I'm jealous of their relationship with Applefur but jokes on them I'm not much into she cats." He said with a bitter laugh. "But no one believed me or even let me speak my side of the story so again what's the point?"

Nightmare followed alongside Holly as they headed back to base. He wasn't too sure what to make of this new cat but they could always use more cats when they finally fought Moonclan.

Pumpkin's ears flattened as he followed after Holly and Nightmare. "M-my name is Pumpkin." He said softly to the she cat. "What's yours?" He asked, keeping himself low as Nightmare glanced back at him.

Sparrowfoot nodded in agreement with both cats. "They're rogues, who knows when they might decide to push their luck and cross a border," he noted, padding towards the entrance to camp. He cast a glance at his sister, Honeyfeather, absorbed in a conversation with Stoatwhisker. If he were to guess, she had a crush on the tom, how ridiculous to waste time fawning over another cat when tensions were so high. "I don't think we should be away from camp too long, so I say we hold off on hunting and just focus on the border," he added. Hopefully nothing bad happened while they were out.

He flicked his ears still pretty unsure about the loner if he was telling the truth about just hearing them, not talking with them, and planning with them. He sighed as he was not sure what to believe any longer, he didn't want to suspect everyone, but so much was being happened with so short time "I see..." he responded simply. He shook his head "I can't let you join our clan for a reason...I am sorry...I am afraid that Shadestar could either..." he kept meowing.

She looked at her thoughtfully, then shook her head "no, not really...I... maybe I do want the tom to look for me...instead of just crushing on someone which may become nothing more than a crush" she responded silently.

She looked at her mentor and brother, her ears perking to Ducksplash as he was not answering. She looked at her mentor once more "maybe we could go now, and Ducksplash can follow when he is ready to do that?" she meowed to her mentor. She looked at her brother too to see what he thought about going ahead without his mentor.

She flicked her ears nervously, she did know the tensions between the clan and those rogues, but she wanted to keep her mind calm and not think about the worst. As much as she listened to the two toms she realized how scared and unsure most cats were and she felt bad for being so naive about the situation "okay that sound good to me...we could do that then..." she meowed silently.

She smiled at the kits "no need to call me to miss...Catherina or even Rina is just fine" she responded to the she-kitten. She flicked her fluffy tail and turned away a little bit "well stay here warm and I will come back with something for you to eat" she meowed to them, taking a few more steps away from the den. She turned to look at the three kits once more "I promise to come back...I am not leaving you alone..." she meowed to them.

He looked at the stranger cat, not really saying what he was thinking about, but half of him thought that she will disappear just like their mom did, but he didn't want to scare his siblings about his thoughts.

He gave the bigger cat a smile, but the promise part a little bit made him feel like he didn't fully believe it. He did want to believe that the cat did come back with the food just like she promised, but then again they were not her kits, why would she care about them that much, even their mom left and never returned.

She smiled at her "Alright, if I could teach you, I could want to see what you can do right now?" she meowed her ears perked as she listened to the voices of the wind and trees. There was plenty of prey around here now, they could bring something back to the camp "now then, hunt me something? Show me your skills young one" she meowed as she sat down on the grass. She felt like she was back in Moonclan when she was training those apprentices, a smile on her face when she looked at the Belladonna, but there was this dark thought in her head too. Someday she may need to face those apprentices in a battle, including what the commander is planning.

He flicked his ears and looked around his whiskers twisting a little bit at the wind "I don't like this why there are too much of different scents...is Moonclan doing their move first?" he meowed thoughtfully. He didn't really want to meet any of the Moonclan cats as most of them knew him and he knew them, it could not end well, but he did nod to the Thorn's idea "yeah you're right, we can handle everything it needs to be" he responded.

Creamflower nods and smiles, agreeing to allow elder to eat before sharing a story. "Of course Laurelblaze!" she said. Upon seeing the elder motion for her to follow, she pads over to the elders' den and laid down in front of the elder, patiently waiting to hear a good story.

Wildfur nodded, feeling very calm now that she was in the woods. She brused Redpaws's shoulder with the tip of her tail and said "Come on, let's go!"

Grassflame

Grassflame awoke to the sound of the waterfall. She got up, stretched, and dragged herself out into camp. She saw that the fresh kill pile was getting low, so she looked for Shadestar, but she guessed he had gone on patrol as she couldn't find him anywhere. She looked around camp for someone to ask to go on patrol with her, and saw Honeyfeather and Stoatwhisker talking over the other side of the camp. She padded over to them.

"Hey guys, I'm going hunting, do you want to come?" She suddenly noticed that they had been in the middle of a conversation, and quickly followed up with "Oh I'm sorry, did I interrupt? Sorry!"


Sageshadow

Sageshadow led the young tom out of camp, and down to the pool.

"So, to start with I'm going to catch one, and then you can try and copy what I did. If you do anything wrong, I will try and help you to change your technique. Sound good?"

As he spoke, he saw a flash under the water. Keeping his body low to the water, he extended his paw very slowly slightly away from his body, and then, bunching up him muscles, he sprang into the water and hooked out the fish. Smacking it on a rock, he killed it in one swift bite.

Shadestar headed in the opposite direction, padding along the border and marking it where it needed to be reinforced. He was lost in his own thoughts as he went along, not much paying attention to his surroundings.

Willowbreeze gave her a kind smile. "You'll find the right cat someday. Sides there's no need to rush into love." She mewed looking over at Sageshadow once more. "Sides I think I've seen some toms looking your way."

Hollowsight nodded and glanced at Canaryspeckle. "Let's get moving then." He said with a smile to them both. He was eager to get a move on and send any Rogues they came across packing.

Jasmine nodded and snuggled into her brother's. She was cold and tried hard to be the strong one of their group but she was tired and hungry. She closed her eyes and just enjoyed the warmth of her siblings. Deep down she knew something bad had happened to their mother but she didn't voice it out loud.

It wasn't often MoonShadow had seen NightFrost so willing to join her on a hunt. She had gotten a late start to the day and was surprised to see her brother had an equally late start. As the two padded through the forest she flicked her tail every so often. Almost to ensure she was awake and wasn't dreaming of a time the two got along. Her eyes turned to take in her brother, she hadn't realized how many scars the warrior had. She shuddered slightly thinking of how he had gained them and the things he would do for his clan. Before giving it a second thought MoonShadow opened her mouth, "How long has it been NightFrost?" she began to question. "Since we've patrolled together?" she finished quietly. Her gaze dropping from her brother to the ground as they walked. She knew the blunt question would throw him off balance, that was the last thing she hoped to do. But while they were together she wanted to at least have a decent conversation. The first one they had in moons.

His mind raced, of all the cats that were left to patrol with it had to be MoonShadow? He almost scoffed, what a joke. However, he had resultantly accepted the invitation. Besides, with no one else left to patrol with he would be stuck helping gather herbs or babysit. And that was the last thing he wanted to do , even more so than spending time with MoonShadow. As they padded through the forest he did his best to ignore the slender cat beside him. Her voice caught him off guard with a question. NightFrost contemplated ignoring her, but opted to answer rather than make the patrol even more akaward "Probably before StormFoot passed" he replied before turning his attention back to scenting out borders.

Thornheart watched his kits play just outside the nursery from the edge of camp. He still wasn't used to being around so many other cats and had a hard time letting his guard down within the walls. His eyes flicked from cat to cat watching them come and go.

Raggedkit and Lionkit were locked in a fierce brawl near the fresh kill pile. Lionkit snapped at Raggedkit's tail earning a squeak of pain from his rival. No sooner had he released it in a triumphant meow than he was whacked by a red paw across his muzzle. He shook his head clear than launched himself fully at his brother who rolled and launched him onto the fresh kill pile knocking it over and he found himself on his back next to a dead robin. "Ha!" Raggedkit meowed triumphiantly standing over him. "Crowfood right where you belong!"

Darkkit padded over to Oceanpaw "Hi." he meowed shyly. "We're going to be apprenticed soon! Do you think there'll be room for us in your den?"

Mudkit stuck his small orange head into the elders den. "HELLOOO!" he yowled. "Anyone awake?"

Snowdapple had happened to be sitting by the fresh kill pile when the two kits knocked it over. She shook her head and smiled. "Now now you two. You've knocked over the fresh kill pile and made quite the mess." She said, like a mother scolding her own kits. "But it's alright you're almost Apprentices and are antsy. I'm curious to see how you grow and become fine warriors." She said with a purr as she began to put the fresh kill pile back together.



Cinderfang/37 moons/Elder/Retired Warrior/Mudkit


Cinderfang was enjoying the warm sun that filtered in at the back of the Elder's den. She smiled to herself as she was remembering her Warrior days. She had gotten badly injured during a fight with a fox who took her left eye and mangled her right hind leg in the battle. She hated having to move to the Elder's den since she had so much more to give but until she could figure out how to handle herself on three paws she was stuck here. She sighed opening her one eye to look at Mudkit. Kits where always coming to visit them and she didn't mind them all too much. She got to her paws and limped over to the fluffy orange kit. "Hello Mudkit." She rasped. "How can I help you?"

He flicked his ears and looked after the loner, for some reason he felt bad for him, maybe he was being too cold to the young tom. The stranger didn't try to attack him, he didn't feel anyway danger around him, so he started to think as he watched him go further away "...wait? What's your name? I think I ever asked that?" he meowed suddenly "I am sorry to be sounded rude, there...we do have a rogue problem and maybe I was little worried about you trying to do something..." he shut his mouth for a moment "If you want to join our clan I can take you to my leader, but to do that...I want to trust you that you don't try anything which could harm the clan?" he continued meowing, a little bit more serious in his voice.

She gave a laugh "hah, they don't look me that way, it's more who is awakened look or who to ask into a patrol look...I don't think there is nobody here to actually...like me that way..." she meowed her eyes turning to her paws for a moment "it's alright, I am not in hurry I can wait..." she meowed as she looked to the queen again.

She gave the tom a smile before looking at Sparrowfoot, like making sure the other tom was still going with them. She followed after the Hollowsight "Are you even wondered if there is a way to bring peace around us and those rogues?" she meowed suddenly.

She left the kits to find something to hunt for them, she saw birds but they were too alert and too high to the branch that she didn't even bother to try them. She sniffed the air and scented the water, running toward the little brook there, to look if there could be any fish or other smaller animals to take a drink. She stopped when she saw a couple of ducks near the river, eating something, unaware of being noticed. This could be her very first duck catch, but she wanted to try, even one of the water birds could be a good catch and feed all the kits. She took a deep breath as she started to stalk the ducks, she didn't want to miss this chance and the reeds gave her a very good hiding place to walk closer without being seen. She waited for a right moment before striking toward the closest duck, pushing it to the water to hold it as the duck fought against her, but she didn't let it go. The duck was pretty strong and its wing hits sure to hurt her a little bit, but eventually, the duck started to get tired, so she finished it quickly. Getting off the water she shook her now wet fur and started to make her way toward the kits, she looked around her as she walked as she was afraid of the noises being heard by other cats or other predators.

He gave the bigger cat a smile, but the promise part a little bit made him feel like he didn't fully believe it. He did want to believe that the cat did come back with the food just like she promised, but then again they were not her kits, why would she care about them that much, even their mom left and never returned.

There was plenty of prey around here now, they could bring something back to the camp "now then, hunt me something? Show me your skills young one" she meowed as she sat down on the grass. She felt like she was back in Moonclan when she was training those apprentices, a smile on her face when she looked at the Belladonna, but there was this dark thought in her head too. Someday she may need to face those apprentices in a battle, including what the commander is planning.
