Sootface knew what sand was, but he'd never seen a place completely made of it, with no grass, dirt, or trees. No, he'd only ever seen it in small patches or mixed in with the earth. And with a lake so big you couldn't see the end of it? It sounded bizarre, and yet Sootface couldn't help but be curious. He tried to imagine it, but it was difficult. "If it was so far away, how did you end up here?" he questioned.

"Well," Reed began, "I've been to several places before I got here. It's taken several moons to arrive here, but I've made it!" Reed remembered that his legs felt like they would fall off the first time he traveled. "It just takes a lot of walking." He's seen all kinds of different territories; such as mountains, plains, forests, and the place he grew up in.

Creamflower notices Palekit watching Dustkit and Emberkit playing and looks at him, curiosity filling her mind. "Are you okay Palekit?" she asked. "Would you like to play with them?"

She did too awaken to her brother's snoring which started to get louder and louder every night, shaking her pelt she started to wonder if she could tell him to go check his throat, so the medicine cats could maybe do something about the snoring. She heard what her sister told to Harmonycall, but ignored it for now. She got out to the cleaning to see who was up and if anything interesting was going on.

The brown tom keeps sleeping at his nest unaware of his sister's harsh words or anything that was going on into the camp, or that it was already morning and time to wake up.

She stayed at her nest not really knowing what she could be doing at the moment, her ears flicking side to side as she listened the voices coming outside and the snoring inside which belonged to her own brother Harmonycall "I can see why your name is Harmonycall... your snoring is so annoyingly loud" she meowed lightly hissing, unaware if her brother heard her or not.

He was early up and already hunted a few preys, dropping some of them to the fresh-kill pile, but took one sparrow to bring to his sister into the nursery "sorry being late...sis...the prey fought back more this morning" he told her with a smile, dropping his catch down "Forgotten? What kind of a brother I am if I forgot my own sister?" he murmured to her confusedly.

She stayed at her nest, watching the nursery entrance or the worlds front of it, her ears perking toward the sounds of the other queens and their kits. So far her brother was not come to bring any food to her, which was odd as usual, he did so. She got out of the nursery when she noticed the white figure of her brother walking forward the nursery "I though you have forgotten" she meowed to him.

She stays near the apprentice's den, watching around the camp for her mentor, but so far nothing. Sighing she looked toward the group of apprentices there "Hello Sandpaw, Batpaw, Tallpaw...can I um join you?" she mowed to the three apprentices "what are you doing?" she asked at them.

She padded out of the apprentice's den, yawning tiredly as she stood up near the entrance, blinking her eyes at the sudden bright sunlight there before looked around the camp. She narrowed her eyes as she saw her mentor there talking with Wispfur, wondering if they were planning something together for either her or Petalpaw.

The oldest elder to the whole clan, lied at his nest, very much awaken, he was not really slept at the night as his back was hurting again. The oldest tom just rolled around his nest, trying to find a position where the back didn't hurt that much and when he, at last, started to fall asleep his den mates waked him up when they started to head out of the den. Now the den was empty and silent, maybe he could sleep now, but the back was hurting again.

"But why would you want to walk that far to begin with?" Sootface asked, confusion evident in his tone. "Surely if you can find a safe, secure place to live, it's better to just stay there. After all, it must be exhausting to travel that far." He knew that loners tended to roam, but he always assumed they never strayed too far. What was the point?

Reed scraped his paw against the ground. "It's, uh, kind of personal," Reed meowed. "But, if I stay in any one place for too long, it makes me remember my parents for some reason." Reed didn't mind talking about his parents, but he didn't want to get too deep into it, as it'd bring up more memories.

"Ah, I see..." Sootface nodded understandingly. He wondered if perhaps Reed's parents were dead, or if he'd simply had a bad experience with them. Sootface's had been dead for many moons now, and while he still felt sad when he thought of them, he didn't mind talking about them now. Still, he didn't want to make Reed uncomfortable by bringing them up, for whatever reason. "I'm sorry," he apologized after a moment. "I didn't mean to pry. It just seemed strange to me, to never stay in one place." But even if he wouldn't admit it, a part of him wasn't entirely happy with simply staying where he was forever either, even if he didn't understand why. MoonClan was all he'd ever known; it was home to him, it was where his family was. So why, as the days went by, did he feel less and less at home and more and more alone there?

"It's fine, don't worry about it," Reed meowed. Most of his life was spent travelling, so he didn't understand how any cat could stay in one place. Though, he did understand that there were cats who didn't know how to survive in other lands. He also understood that most cats weren't too keen on leaving a territory they'd spent their entire lives in. "Anyways," Reed started, "let's stop talking about sad things. How much of this land have you explored?"

"Well...none of it, really," Sootface replied. "I've never had much of a reason to stray outside my own territory. Occasionally in leaf-bare, if prey was really scarce, I'd cross the border to hunt, but that's it. I never spent much time...exploring."

"Really?" Reed asked. "What if one day, you needed to get away from your clan for a while and needed to stay somewhere? Like, if there was a fire, or a flood? You always need to know safe areas that are close by, in case something like that happens."
