He brushed his white paw in the dirt, thoughtfully staring down at it and then to the heterochromatic cat once again. "That doesn't seem too bad. Perhaps dangerous, but maybe fine. You're a kittypet though, are you even allowed out at night?"
He said quizzically. He had never really seen kittypets running around at night. Well, he never really ran around at night either. Was never his thing. Early to bed early to rise, that's how the saying went, correct? "I mean, we can try but... you'd have to be very, very, quiet." As he spoke his voice got lower and lower, exaggerating the words that he spoke. "I really don't want to get in trouble or you killed, you seem like a nice cat." Sagewhisker hardly believed he was talking to a kittypet so easily either, but she was totally harmless.

The white and cream she-cat had returned to camp by this point. Her fur had snagged on a patch of bramble on the way in but that was her only 'calamity' she had to face on the way back to camp. Other than that things were completely fine with her.
Internally she was still frustrated with her apprentice for the way he didn't listen to her or never took her seriously. If the two were to get into a fight it wouldn't be much of a fight, she knew his tricks. He was force and she was speed, that had always been her style. Flee before a real fight. Not really brave but it got the job done so that larger, stronger cats could attack instead of a small and lithe cat like herself.
Her eyes struck upwards suddenly as a strong scent came to pound into her head. Reedjaw was laying before her with his russet colored coat and pine-scented fur. "Hmm, my bad." She mused to him, eyeing him up and down cautionary. Perhaps he had seen what had happened in the forest and came to confront her at the entrance--scratch that, she was the one who had almost ran into him, he was laying down. He had no clue what had happened and wouldn't. Why did she even bother protecting that apprentice? He lacked a mother most likely, perhaps she felt motherly for a cat filled with so much angst. Disgusting and annoying for her to think that she felt sorry for him. Slightly she was frustrated with herself, it was brief and then she remembered the russet cat in front of her. "My bad, how are you Reedjaw? Good to see you're finally up." The she-cat said rather pleasantly to him, her mood quickly turning chipper with the tom as she took rest next to his own body, laying beside him.
