The apprentice smiled. He didn't really know about color since he had been blind his whole life but in his mind he had created an idea of they looked liked. He imagined birds of all colors flying around and pouring out their hearts into a song.

Dovewing's mismatched eyes looked back into his as she blushed ever so slightly. "A-Alright" she said but hesitated before taking a small bite of the vole.

He looked away as she blushed, the way she took a bite of the vole made Fang turned around and looked at her again. "So, are you from the clan?" He asked, trying to ease the awkwardness between them.

The she-cat nodded as Fang's question. "Yes, I've been with the clan since I was born. It's the only life I've ever known" she said, "and you? Have you always been a loner taking food from strange cats in the woods?" Her life had always been with the clan. It was quiet and uneventful most of the time. She wondered what it would be like to be a loner. Free to come and go as you pleased. Traveling all over and not be limited to just your territory. She imagined it was an interesting life, though it was likely a hard one as well.

He stared at her, "well, I wasn't a loner at the first place. My mom, well.... She was taken by two legs, one day when she was hunting for me, and there, I was, a helpless kit crying for his mother." He said, recovering from the memory. "And I started to learn to hunt but the thing is, I scared every prey in the forest whenever I hunt. I am a messy hunter. You know." He paused, then continued. "If you were hunting in the forest, then you saw prey scampering out from everywhere, that was probably me hunting." He said, staring into her eyes again. "You should come and experience the life of a loner for one day, really."
