ｍｏｔｈｐａｗ/ tom / apprentice / nine moons / tagged; no one (open for interaction)

beams of sunlight shone through the entrance of the apprentice den and onto the mothpaw's pelt. he purred at the feeling of their warmth, it reminded him of sleeping in the nursery with his mother and kin. those days were long since over, and like every other warrior-in-training mothpaw slept in his own nest now. not that sleeping alone bothered him, he actually would prefer to have his own nest. having five other cats kicking you in midst of your sleep isn't something any cat would want. or at least mothpaw hoped there wasn't someone who enjoyed that. the sleepy tom rolled over in his sleep, this time so the sun was shining on his face. in agitation he huffed, it was much too bright to continue sleeping. he probably wouldn't even be able to fall back asleep again. letting out another huff, the small tom stood and shook bits of moss out of his pelt. mothpaw stretched and poked his head out of the den's entrance. 'i might as well find some way to be useful.'

meadowpaw quickly sat up when timberfur asked if they were ready to go battle training, she smiled and nodded. then bounded across camp to the entrance, her tail was swishing across the ground, and her paws were itching to go out. meadowpaw looked over at pinepaw,"come on lazy bones!" she teased as she started to run out of the camp and into the forest.

her pelt ruffled from the breeze she stopped and waited for pinepaw, her breathing was heavy from running. she took a deep breath trying to regain it back to normal. she preened her chest fur as it was that as a robins [ruffled all over]. meadowpaw peered into camp as she saw pinepaw finally stand.

[sorry for the short post i didn't really know how to reply without her being obnoxious and running away into the forest. ^^]

The apprentice had not left him. He had not heard her paw steps as she padded away; instead, he heard her voice as she questioned just why she should apologise. Within moments, the massive tabby brute was sitting upright as she continued. With his lips curling again and fur rising, he answered her sharply. "You should apologise to me because am I a senior warrior and older than you. I am not on patrol because I, unlike many other warriors, sat guard all night and deserve my rest after being up since yesterday's sunrise. And don't insult your mentor: she is training you to become a warrior that this Clan can be proud of." Eaglestrike snarled and flexed his claws. "Now, if you're too ignorant to apologise to your senior, scatter. Or I may have to clout you over the back of your head." Turning his back on her, he flopped down to the ground on his side and closed his eyes. Again.

Pinepaw purred as Meadowpaw raced out of camp, then he pulled himself to his paws and ran after her into the forest. He stopped next to her and shook out his pelt. "Well, now I look like a bush," he complained, chuckling and trying to lick his fur flat. "Typical, really." He looked back to the camp entrance, waiting for his mentor with an amused twitch of the whiskers. "Timberfur's got his work cut out for him," he mewed. "It's two versus one now...." He winked at Meadowpaw, and sighed softly; Graypaw had always loved running through the forest, and when he'd had his brother he'd had a partener in crime, so to speak. Everything they'd done together, in retrospect, seemed fun; Pinepaw had pushed all of their arguments out of his mind long ago so that he only remembered the good things.

Skyflight

The delicate tabby was curled in the shade by the medicine cat den. Her head rested on her paws, blue eyes dancing about the clearing. A low rumble escaped her belly. Skyflight was hoping to find someone to come hunting with her. Perhaps Echopaw might, and then afterwards they could collect any herbs that perhaps were running low. She flicked her tail lazily, eyes scanning all around for any sign of her apprentice. None. She gave a low huff. Standing up, the she-cat arched her back and stretched. "Echopaw!" She called out loudly, hoping for a response soon. Skyflight supposed she ought to keep better track of her own apprentice. But Echopaw was the medicine cat apprentice after all, she couldn't be too mousebrained. At least Skyflight hoped. The female sat down on her haunches to await the presence of Echopaw.

All bravado left Ivypaw, letting her slump onto the ground, eyes down with the classic look of a rebellious teenager who knows that she cannot fight back, but doesn't want to entirely submit either. "Fine, sorry," she muttered, padding away and trying not to shake. Eaglestrike had frightened her, it was true, although she tried her best to look unaffected by the incident, holding her tail high in the air like a banner. "He's just threatened by my beauty and how intelligent I am," she said under her breath, trying to feel a bit better. "He thinks I'll beat him to clan leader....yes, yes, that's right...." The grey she-cat padded into the woods, wanting to get away from the camp for a while. If this day was as unlucky as she thought, Eaglestrike would probably tell Larksong of the incident, and then she'd be in more trouble; best to get away while she could.
I'll worry about all that when my fur's silky.
With that, the little Ivypaw made her way to a small glade just off of the camp, letting the sun's rays warm her pelt.
