Emerald sighed and landed outside the hollow. "I'm too scared of the world. I'm too scared of the Pure Ones. I'm too scared."

'Just let go of your fears; don't think about them. Only use them when they're needed. Fear is a tool necessary for bravery,' Aquila said.

[Falkenfire]

"Let go of fears?" She seemed to grow half her size, "I can't let them go with the scroom of my father watching me. Besides... I don't have a chaw yet..."

[~ mew ~]

'Neither do I. I think tapping starts soon, though. And I'm sure we'll get tapped. We're old enough,' Aquila said. 'The scroom of my mum and da are still here as well. And I have a feeling they're staying until the Pure Ones are gone.'

[Falkenfire]

She started to shiver and she slowly fell over on her side. Emerald tucked her right wing tight, and she cried out in pain. She stood up weakly like nothing had happened. "What chaw do want to get tapped for...?"

'Colliering. Now, what's wrong with your side?' Aquila asked, concerned.

[Falkenfire]

Emerald seemed to brighten. "Really? Me too. And... It's nothing. A blow dealt by my mother that never quite healed."

[~ mew ~]

'Well, be careful,' Aquila said. He shook his head. 'Maybe we'll be in the same chaw!'
