Tiberiu

It was windy out; that wasn't such a big deal, nothing was ever really a big deal in Tiberiu's world, but it was getting in the way just a bit. As the breeze snuck itself through the sparse trees around him it began to lift at his hat, just starting to peel it away from between his ears. The only solution was to stop to paw it back down in good-natured silence before raising his wings, ignoring the fact that the holes in them would surely allow great gusts through anyways, and spread them just slightly over himself to try to block the wind coming down on him from behind. Of course, in his distraction he hadn't been keeping alert; that was a mistake, an infrequent one for Tiberiu. He didn't see the other leopard coming and for a moment as he stepped forwards between two drooping boughs of some rather sad looking tree only to find himself face to face with Delix, every hair on his body (tail included) stood straight. A nanosecond passed and he had already laid himself flat again, ears flickering sideways, depressed under the thick rim of the hat but clearly straining to perk up in a friendly manner.

Oh how it would pay to be able to say hello.

{Ohmygosh! i'm sorry I didn't notice that you edited, I thought you would of just posted another D: So sorry, anyways Delix might hate you at first, but you may be the only real friend he will like because I feel like he would just feel empathetic for you, and just yeah XP}

Delix:
Delix turned around and huffed, did that leopard really think he was going to stride over there with a smile on his face and act all friendly? Of course not! Though he did notice he was handicapped and felt sorry, but the hat. The hat really just trashed him. The scares on him may of slightly scared him also. As he saw that the Leopard continued to walk towards him in a friendly manner, he tried his best not to growl and tell him to go away. "Need some help?" He said in a not so friendly way, hoping that he would leave saying no. Sighing, he strode over. Delix may be a jerk, but he wasn't cold hearted. He could tell that Teberiu was struggeling in the wind, and seemed a bit cold. Mustering up his streangth he slidded his scarf off, "Would you like to ba-ba-borrow this? You seem cold." Walking closer he sticks his wing out a bit, trying to help his tattered wings block him from the harsh and bitter wind.

Tiberiu

Blinking slowly at the other leopard, Tiberiu recognized the telltale signs of annoyance immediately. Ah. A short tempered one. He'd always been understanding of tentative pessimism, the sort of jaded behavior that came to certain individuals. Leaning back on his haunches so as to sit slightly the leopard smiled lightly and shook his head gently in a 'it's not necessary' sort of way, his wings splayed out behind him to break the wind. Of course his positively inclined expression broke as the scarf was offered; Tiberiu looked almost horrified, raising his paw and shaking it in as polite a manner as possible, doing his best to refuse while remaining civil. He didn't want to come off the wrong way, but he certainly didn't want to take anything from anyone and he certainly didn't want to subject a stranger to the cold over a little discomfort. Grimacing slightly before smiling a bit awkwardly, Tiberiu left his paw raised and palm-out in a marked 'hold on', leaning around to fish about at something shoved into his glove. As he pulled it lose he dropped it onto the ground, pinning it down with his tail and flicking what was now obviously a map open. With this accomplished (all of this being quite the procedure, though he was used to it) Tiberiu went on to study the paper a moment before waving at it a bit vaguely and tapping a nondescript area. It was clearly the forest, but the meaning of this probably wouldn't be lost considering Tiberiu's slightly disoriented expression. Most certainly his face and actions were the most trademark way to say without words, 'Hey man. I'm lost. Any place you can point me to stay out of the wind?'

Delix: Sighing in relief he stuck his scarf back on, and rubbed his cheek against it. Looking at him in confusion for a few seconds he asked "Can you talk? Or are you like... Mute, or do you just not like to talk?" He didn't want to seem rude, but it was kind of vital information if he was to actually be able to talk to him. Flicking his tail he looked at the map, did this guy not know where he was? He did seem new, maybe. He looked from him, than back to the map a few time for making the 'oh now I get it!' expression. "You're in the common forest, a lot of leopards gather around here, mainly staying away from me. If you couldn't tell, i'm not the most friendly leopard, but, you just have to fly about a mile or two more to get out into a small field where our water source lays. Though I would not suggest to go today, the storm is kind of forming over there. It will be hitting us soon." Filling his checks with air and blowing out, he couldn't just leave this leopard out here to suffer the wrath of the storm, "If you need a place to stay, my place is virtually empty. You wouldn't be a bother, trust me. More than likely I will not notice you either." Turning his head to the side, he wouldn't refuse a 'no'. Again he was a jerk, but was not cold-hearted.

Tiberiu

'Can you talk, or are you like...mute,' Tiberiu's smile softened gently; it wasn't out of sadness or pain, but rather a quiet and respectful amusement. He didn't take any time to study or judge Delix, simply answering his question with the shake of his head 'no'. Beyond this, however, he made no further remarks- physical or otherwise- regarding his inability to communicate. Instead Tiberiu contented himself to listen to the directions he was given, ears perking forwards slightly from under the wide rim of his hat. He wasn't one to ride on another's back, taking up residence even temporarily would be an imposition in Tiberiu's eyes. At the same time, though, he was lost and tired and the wind had left his back freezing and stinging.

It was obvious that he was considering the offer, Tiberiu looking down at the map before folding it calmly and tucking it back into his glove, the coins tied to his ten-gallon hat clinked together as the wind whipped them about. The solution was obvious; he would accept and pay the hospitality back, easy as that. Looking back to Delix the worn-out leopard nodded and offered up an extraordinarily thankful look. One of the benefits of silence was expressiveness.

Delix: Nodding his head, he was slightly smiling inside. He had never really talked to any one in a while, he doesn't quite consider this 'talking' but someone was listening. Walking away he turns and says, "Follow me" Pulling his head to his shoulder he battles his way threw the wind, he loved the cold, he just didn't like the wind. Stopping in front of a tree he carefully pushes threw a bush that covered it. Behind it lead to a wide hole. The tree was an old red wood, about 200 years old. It was gigantic and left him with a lot of room. He nodded from him to go in first as he held the brush open. "Just walk a bit and you will come into the area. I will leave you with the left side, it has a bed and such, and food will be in the left corner buried and covered bye the rock. Stay out of my stuff, and we will get along just great."

Tiberiu

Following was a problem. Despite not being much of a conversationalist and missing a leg, Tiberiu proved to be attentive and just as mobile as Delix, his gait so smooth that one might have missed at first glance that he was tripodal. 'Course the hat was a problem, Tiberiu eventually giving up and allowing it to slip forwards and off of his head just so he could snap the rim between his teeth and carry it safely in his jaws. Upon reaching the tree Tiberiu continued to prove his persistent sensibility, folding his wings neatly and casually scraping his paws clean of leaves and debris before slipping inside.

He hadn't seen such a large, isolated place. The tree itself was equivalent to maybe, oh, four replicas of his old home. In fact, if he had to estimate the area in all he'd imagine it was more or less half the dang town. Huh. Staring up at the smooth wood above his head he could only really find one word to think; 'Classy'.

The warning was unnecessary, Tiberiu simply nodded understanding and sought out the bed, choosing to flop across it as opposed to actually climbed atop it and laying down. It was entirely possible for him to do so considering his size, taller in general than most of his fellow species- an irony considering he was missing bits and pieces which evened out the mass- and found it more than easy to sprawl. Curling up reduced space; a much smaller looking ball of fur encased in a shell of tattered feathers managed to just barely fill up the space of the bed, one rather pleased green eye shining out between the gaps in one wing.

Repayment, though, was an issue. Casually Tiberiu wondered if his host was fond of timepieces.

Delix: Slipping in after him, shook lightly and breathed in the warm air the tree made. He shared his home with a few other occupants, mainly squirrels a badger and a few other small animals, he could barely make out most of them though. They tend to stay away when he was here. Turning his attention to his biggest guest he asked him, "Anyway that you could tell me your name?" He didn't know if he would ever be able to get it, because he was silent and all. "One more thing also, gotta few other animals in here, mainly small. I would say the only one who will come to disturb you is the honey badger. That will most likely be in your sleep, if he wakes you up just don't move. He will go away eventually." He added after asking for his name.
