Murderers in Riverclan V.3 [welcome back!]

Goldenwave nodded at Bramblestar as she approached. "How's the water been lately? I was thinking about taking a swim in the shallows when the sun is higher." He directed the question to the entire gathering patrol as he was seriously interested and itching to get out of camp for once.

Just as Ripplefrost was about to pounce on that water vole a few tail lengths away, she blinked open her eyes. She sighed, realizing that it had just been a dream. The gray and white she-cat quickly sat up in her nest, giving herself a quick grooming before her jaws opened in a gaping yawn. Blinking the sleep from her ice-blue eyes, she stood up and stretched before finally slipping out of the warriors den. Ripplefrost headed over to the fresh-kill, her stomach grumbling. Grabbing a minnow, she couldn't help but overhear what Riverclan's leader was telling Petaltuft as she devoured the fresh-kill. Licking her lips when she was done, she padded over to them. "I can go on the hunting patrol," she offered Bramblestar, dipping her head in greeting to the two littermate.

Sagenose awoke to the sounds of soft chattering from somewhere in the clearing. Stretching out his limbs, he sighed, blinking away the dust in his eyes. Spotting movement outside the den, he padded into the open, not surprised to see some of his Clanmates out and about already. "Good morning, everybody," he called cheerfully, watching as they sorted themselves into patrols. "Any hunting patrols going out? I'd love to chase a vole or something right about now." His eyes lit up when he saw Ripplefrost offer to go hunting. Walking up with a grin, he put in, "Yeah! I can go too. If you don't mind, that is."

Yellowgaze dipped his head as Sagenose appeared, and mewed in reply. "I'm going to go too. I suppose all of us are, then?". He turned his gaze towards the entrance, and waited for someone else to make the first movements to start the patrol.

Littleflame had finally began to peel her eyes open. The young she cat had been awake for a while now, but she had hoped if she pretended long enough, she would be able to go back to sleep. Accepting she would not go to sleep again, she sat up. She barely had risen from her nest when she padded outside. "Gah-!" She exclaimed as the sun hit her still sleepy eyes.

Her bright green eyes glistened as the rays of sun hit them. Cheerfully she bounded out of the warrior den. Her silvery tabby pelt was neatly groomed. "I'll go on a patrol if need be,"she purred.

Yellowgaze sighed, before mewing "We might as well split the patrols. One for hunting and the other for border patrol." His voice was quiet but he made eye contact with his clanmates. He then got to his paws, hoping that someone would follow him outside.

Breezefire woke up to see her mentor still peacefully sleeping. Little did they know that their following day was going to be the opposite of their current state. The young apprentice stretched her limbs and yawned. "Wake up, Skywhisper," she prodded her mentor, but after a while, left her alone. The shecat Breezefire padded out of her den and smelled the fresh air. She decided to take a small piece of fresh-kill to start her day off.

After she was finished, she went over the group of cats. "Good morning everyone, if you don't mind, may I please go with one of your patrols?" she asked after listening to them for a few seconds. "We ran out of dock and marigold." Breezefire flicked her tail to the medicine cat den.

Although it wasn't Yellowgaze's place to answer Breezefire, he nodded in response to her question. It wasn't that big of a deal if the medicine cat joined their group.
