Splash smiled. "Don't worry. It was a nice try. I'll teach you." She said softly, then raised her paw again. "Try to do it as smoothly as possible. Your paw was shaking like a leaf. That's why there was a splash. The fish can feel the vibrations in the water." She explained helpfully.

Hunter gave her a grumpy look, "It's normal! Cats don't like water," he meowed with a grumble.

He took a deep breath, steadying his paw and his heart. He tried to wait for another fish to swim past. He steadied himself to prepare for a fish, and when another one crept up near the edge...

He repeated again, this time his claws just barely missing the fish's tail. he splashed the ground next to him again. He cursed under his breath as he looked up again in triumph, "I touched it! I touched it this time!"
