Either way, I'm here at 1:30 a.m. after watching a handful of Fairy Tail episodes : D]
Paintleaf (Slight skip from where she last left off, in her nest, going to sleep) hung her head in despair, thinking repeatedly 'Redkit shouldn't have died, I should have noticed them sneak away... I should have helped those poor kits...'
Her tail swished as she took in her surroundings...
The gentle swish of the branches surrounding the camp, the mews of cats gathered round' the camp, and the gentle sob of several members of Redkit's family, including Clawkit and Softkit's distressed wails.
Paintleaf pads up to Softkit, and gently puts her tail on her shoulder.
"It will be ok. Just promise me this; when Silverpelt finally shows itself tonight, look up in the stars and find Redkit. Send a final prayer for him."
A faint smile tugged at Paintleaf's mouth, and a soft purr rumbled in her chest.
"Think of the new life he will have in Starclan. I'm sure he will look down on you and aid you in times of desperate need."

[I think it's time, you said Clawkit's six moons now right? I think Softkit's ready too. xD
I don't want to rush it though, Clawkit and Softkit just witnessed their own denmate die I think they should recover from the shock of it first before becoming apprentices. >w>]

Mudstar meowed to the calico medicine cat, she expected for Cottontail to care for the kits, the shock of fighting off a fox all by themselves and seeing a Clanmate die because of it must weigh heavy on both cats. 'How terrible.' Mudstar thought as she looked at Clawkit, Redkit was still very young; how could StarClan take away such a young life when she still had so much to live for? Mudstar gasped softly, who would tell Fangtail and Nightfang? Redkit's parents would be shocked by the news of her death if they haven't heard of it already.
