Terrorspirit lay in her nest, as usual. She was still beaten up about Ocelotstep's death, and just needed some support. She was curled up with her tail set neatly around herself. She stayed completely still, with the exception of the occasional flick of her tail.

Furrowing up his kittybrows in grief, Hollowflame pressed himself comfortingly against Skyheart in attempt to calm her down, casting Pineshadow a sorrowful glance. Oh, the poor mother! How devastating it must be to lose a kit, especially one with such promise and energy. He knew for a fact that Cherrykit would be missed, but now what? How could they find the killer before more cats, possibly even kits, died?

Onyxstorm had a restless night after escorting Minnowpaw out of the territory. Hopping the young she-cat would be okay, she got up just as Pineshadow cried out. Running towards the nursery, she heard Skyheart. "Why a kit?" she asked, tail flicking in nervousness. "I'll go tell Willowstar," she meowed, heading towards the leader's den, tail dragging. "Willowstar the murder has struck again," she meowed. "Cherrykit is dead," she whispered.

Hollowflame rested his gaze sorrowfully on the grieving mother and nodded without a word, leaving her to her kit. He tipped his head at Skyheart once they'd gotten out, at her sad question, "No, no. It won't be," he denied with a firm shake of his head.
