Hollowflame's ears pricked and swiveled, his brain seeming to lag behind once the information had been broken. After taking a moment to regain his composure, he shoved himself up to his paws; nearly stumbling over into another cat as he pushed his way over, "Who -!?" This was all his mouth could seem to manage, and had they been identified before, he hadn't heard in his trance.

Stormheart's ears flickered at the alarming sound of an apprentice bursting into camp. She quickly turned her head, identifying the cat as Frizzpaw. The young warrior quickly trotted over to where most of the clan was gathering. "Bodies...?" The silver shecat's ears lay flat against her head as the news struck. Stormheart held a distraught look to her expression after hearing of who the two clanmates were. Her heart sank, "But... But how?"

Willowbee heaved a deep sigh, wondering the same thing as Stormheart. "I didn't get a good look at them, but . . . i-it's not good." She told the other warrior with a gulp, sparing the details with her younger clanmates presences in mind. The striped she-cat had been in a healthy amount of battles in her seasons of warrior duties - even lost fellow warriors to the fights- so she wasn't terribly shaken, But the sight of the massacred bodies still had a lasting impact on her.

He swiveled in the direction of his slightly younger sister, stomach panging with grief. She didn't deserve to witness such terror, unnecessary terror for all they knew; he trod over and nosed her ear lovingly, paying Willowbee a polite nod. Hollowflame felt grateful that Thornpaw didn't seem present at the moment, as he truthfully was not sure how the young tom would react, "We'll solve this, I swear it."

The silver shecat frowned as her brother tried to comfort her. It was at times like these when the trust among a clan was so important. Stormheart returned the comforting nudge and peered her green eyes at Hollowflame. "Where is Thornpaw? I want to know that he's safe..." Stormheart murmured softly. What could have possibly happened? Was it a dog...? Fox? Badger? For all Stormheart knew, there were endless possibilities. The she-cat even began to think, 'perhaps it wasn't a predator... But a clanmate.' No matter what it was-- just like Hollowflame said -- they would solve it no matter what.

"I was thinking the same thing," His tone force out reassurance and positivity, feeling as though that might be the most helpful skill he could offer in this time of confusion and grief. "Come, we'll go searching." Hollowflame brushed his tail down her side, beginning to lead her away.

Willowbee returned Hollowflame's wordless greeting and waited for the siblings to finish their conversation before speaking. "It's pretty . . . messy. It looks like there was quite a struggle." She meowed as the other warriors moved to set out. The shock of the situation had worn off, and her mind was now set on figuring out what in StarClan had happened. "I'm going to look for Foxfoot. Maybe she can help identify what killed them. Good luck." The warrior informed Stormheart and Hollowflame before the duo left the camp. Willowbee padded swiftly towards the medicine den, trilling a small "Hello?" before slipping halfway inside the strong scented den. "Foxfoot?"

Stormheart looked to Willowbee, nodding her head gently. "Good luck to you as well, Willowbee..." Stormheart meowed softly. Her paws needed the ground before she turned and quickly followed Hollowflame. She feared the worst, of course. The poor tabby was worried to bits. Thornpaw and Hollowflame were her only family, and she couldn't afford to lose more. As she walked with her brother she began to wonder if a patrol would bring back Rosefeather and Littlepaw, and if they did, what would the clan do from then on? Stormheart walked with her head down as these thoughts clouded her mind. Her anxiousness was more noticeable than ever before.

Hollowflame felt horrible, easily noting his sister's copiously visible downcast; were there anything he could do to cure this, it seemed quite out of his control. Thornpaw was one of the most unpredictable cats he knew, finding him could take a multitude of ages, "Where would you like to start first, Stormheart?" His tone rang with sympathy, however much he tried to hide it for Stormheart's pridesake.
