The Kill wrote:"I've already told you to back off!" A hiss left the cat's throat as they turned to face Sageheart. She seemed eerily calm as she replied, her claws sheathing and unsheathing as a purr rumbled in her throat. "It was only a friendly offer, mousebrain! I didn't mean any harm by it." She replied to the hostility with a simple smile as she brushed against them. Sparks of tension made them stiffen, but they managed to pull away. "I'm warning you, Sageheart. I've seen you around camp, watching me, stalking me.. I don't want you around me." Her smile seemed to turn into a frown with every word, and her entire demeanor seemed to shift to one of eeriness. "You're lying, I would never treat a Clanmate like that." They shook their head. "StarClan told me."
Sageheart's head cocked to the side, and she shook it in denial. "StarClan has no reason for interference, they would never." The other cat didn't appreciate their doubt, but they weren't going to comment about it. After all, actions spoke louder than words. Stepping forward, they dipped their head towards the warrior. "You don't believe me.. I'm lying, right? That's what you think?" "That's exactly what I think." And so, the two liars went different ways, parting for the night. Though they were separate, they'd always remain close by; ThunderClan was their united home.
Tiptoeing out of the warrior's den, Sageheart carried a piece of wet moss. She was a crafty she-cat, never one to give up on her goals. Snatching an old piece of crowfood from the freshkill pile, something she had stored underneath the others for a countless amount of moons, as this plan required so much time and effort, she left for the dirtplace, where no cat would question her. Sitting down, she dripped the water into the rotten mouse, making it look fresher and juicer. Her plan wasn't to kill them, no, just make them sick enough to the point where they depended on her. That would certainly win them over, she was determined to make it work out.
"I can smell that piece of crowfood all the way over here." A voice from behind Sageheart made her jump, and she let out a nervous laugh before turning to see them. "Look who's stalking who now!" She was cheery, yet it was only a mask as she was faced with her to-be victim. "Did you poison it?" She seemed shock, and just like before, her smile disappeared. "Did you plan to choke me with it? What were you doing?" She pushed the mouse forward, tossing the moss next to it. "I thought that, if you ate it and got sick, I could be there for you, and we'd be happy together." They inhaled sharply, smashing the mouse into the ground with a paw.
"How did you know I was here?" Sageheart was beginning to grow defensive, both verbally and physically, as she was cornered. The cat in front of her was forcing her into a tight space with no escape in sight. "No, you wouldn't believe me." "Tell me!" With the sudden change in volume, they leaped forward, eyes flashing with an emotion completely foreign to the warrior. "StarClan gave me a warning, and it was about you. I suppose they were true, and it really is my job to take care of it." They gave Sageheart a smirk. "I didn't believe them when I first heard it either, that I'd have to be the one to rid ThunderClan of impurity. But I suppose now, since you're living proof, I guess they were telling the truth." They stalked forward until Sageheart was pressed against the dirtplace. It didn't take much to kill the she-cat, only a swipe to the throat. She didn't seem stressed about dying, she was more insanely happy that they got to touch at least once before she joined the stars. Shoving the mouse into her mouth, they left the dirtplace, no sign of them ever entering. They didn't care to dispose of the body, and decided to leave her there to rot. They returned to their den, pleased with their accomplishment.
Sageheart has been killed. Tread carefully, ThunderClan.
