Aspenclaw padded up to Hawkfire, his feathery tail waving lazily in the air. He squeezed through cats on the overpopulated island until he reached the other deputy. "Greetings, Hawkfire. How are you?" The broad shouldered tom sat down near Hawkfire and tilted his head, patiently waiting an answer.

I smiled, turning my head to Aspenclaw. I nodded to him, "Good, good," I responded kindly. How have you been?" I asked in a friendly manner.

Aspenclaw nodded. "I'm fine, just hoping that this crisis can be solved soon. I'm still not used to hunting here, and I suppose this isn't ideal for Waterclan either." He shrugged and sighed, his tail flicking.

Tawnypaw obeyed his mentor and leapt behind her. He couldn't stop his small frame from trembling as he hid behind Eaglestar. "W-what is it?" he whispered in a scared voice. He looked a lot bigger than he was right now as his fluffy fur stuck out in terror.

Frostclaw smiled smugly, he could sense the annoyance in Rivershade's voice. "I'm big and strong," he mewed smugly, "I have perfect sight and fantastic hearing." Frostclaw mewed with emphasis on his eyesight. He stretched his grey paws and yawned as he stomach grumbled. "Someone come hunting with me." he mewed blandly, sheathing and unsheathing his claws.

Grinning smugly, I stood up. I wipped around, staring Frostclaw blindly in the eyes. The river of my stare frozen with a chill of hatred. My breath brushed off his nose, and I could feel his own body heat, that's how close, I'd come. I bared my teeth in a twisted smile. Think your so great do you!? I thought, "Why don't I come hunt with you, Frostclaw?" I mewed, with a chill, a spine tingling edge.

Tanwypaw's eyes widened in terror as he heard the fear in Eaglestar's voice. It must be something awfully horrible to scare Eaglestar like this! he thought in horror. He bolted for the closest bush and hunkered down amongst its thorny branches.

Frostclaw felt Rivershade's breath, he could feel the hatred. For a split second, Frostclaw was afraid and regretted everything he had said. Don't a mousebrain, Frostclaw. This daft blind tom couldn't do anything to you! he reassured himself and stood proudly, muscles bulging. "Sure," he mewed slowly, "Just don't get in my way." he challenged before turning quickly and trailing away towards the deep forest.
