Tidestar let out a sigh of relief, although her stomach still churned, there were still some of her clanmates out there.

Herringpaw followed, keeping a distance from Beechpaw.

Clifftail perked his ears and motioned his friend over.

Salmonfall shrugged, "I'm not sure.. Twolegs probably." She shivered at t.he thought of the disgusting fur-less creatures. She'd only seen a glimpse of them in the summer when they swarmed the beach, but Salmonfall hadn't seen them anywhere else.

Cornfur nodded, agreeing with Salmonfall. He could imagine the twolegs being stupid enough to set up a camp in the middle of the ocean. He gazed out at the ocean for a few heartbeats longer before turning back towards his clanmates resting on top of the hill. "Want to go see if Tidestar wants to send out any patrols? Cats are going to start to get hungry and our fresh kill pile is floating around the forest." He said, flicking his tail on Salmonfalls shoulder.

Mapleshadow followed Ripplestripe and Foxtalon quickly. She felt worry gnowing at her, and hse watned to get back to her clanmates as fast as she could.

Seabreeze trotted over to Clifftail. "Hey," he greeted him, panting slightly. "Did Foxtalon get back yet?"

Beechpaw glanced back at Herringpaw with a questioning look in her eyes, as if absolutely nothing had happened. "Is there something wrong?"

Ripplestripe sensed that Mapleshadow was growing nervous and touched his tail to her flank in a comforting manner but kept his gaze straight ahead.

Herringpaw ignored her, afraid that tears would arise if he opened his mouth.

Salmonfall chuckled, "Sure, good idea, but I'm not sure if she wants us out during a flood."

Clifftail shook his head. "I think Purpleflower likes you back," he smirked.

Beechpaw blinked at him. "Herringpaw? Are you sad?"

"Oh, does she?" Seabreeze's voice was peaked with exaggerated interest and he couldn't help but snicker under his breath as he replied, "My, what a relief! I thought she'd never return my strong feelings of love and affection! Thank you, my dear Clifftail, for planting the seeds of our relationship." The young warrior clearly wasn't taking Clifftail seriously.

Clifftail smirked at him before raising his voice so Purpleflower could hear, "Awwh, I'll let you two love birds get settled then!" He shoved Seabreeze towards the she-cat before padding closer to his leader.

"Maybe," Herringpaw replied, not looking at her.

Purpleflower hears their conversation and sees him shoving Seabreeze over to her. She rolls her eyes, deciding to just go with the flow and see what happens.

Foxtalon saw their clanmates come into sight and called, "Tidestar, we're here!" He led Mapleshadow and Ripplestripe to where the clan was, padding up to Tidestar.

Tidestar perked her ears, turning towards the tom.
