Blizzardclaw sighed as they walked, trying to calm himself down so he could think more clearly and rationally. He kept catching no scents that belonged to her, beginning to feel like maybe he did loose her. But he also was mad, mad that she had left without him as he had always told her if she wanted to get an early start on things to just wake him up. He had seen her go into the den before after they came back from sundown border patrol.

The farther along in her pregnancy she had gotten, the less walking around she wanted to do if she could help it.

Darkpaw couldn't help but feel a stab of sympathy for the kit. He wasn't close to him or anything, but Blackkit reminded him of himself when he was younger. He was about to ask again what the tom-kit was doing out by himself when he heard Foxcloud's voice from across the clearing and looked to see her poking outside of the nursery. "Sure," he sighed, picking up Blackkit by the scruff and taking him to the nursery. It wasn't that he hated Foxcloud; he just didn't see why Deertail spent so much time with her. But even if he never admitted it, he did feel some sympathy for the queen, and wasn't about to make her walk all the way over to them to fetch Blackkit. Being so full of kits looked exhausting, with every pawstep seemingly a bigger struggle than the last. He never wanted to put a she-cat through that. "Well, here you go," he meowed, half to Blackkit and half to Foxcloud as he set the kit down in front of her.

As Darkpaw gazed down at him with a look of sympathy Blackkit squirmed with embarrassment. He soon heard Foxclouds voice, he sighed knowing that he wouldn’t be aloud out for the rest of the night. Blackkit felt his paws leave the ground as Darkpaw heaved him up by the scruff. “Hey I have legs” he complained flailing his paws, though he knew that it was no use. The moment Darkpaw put him down at Foxclouds paws he paw nudged inside.
