The queen's mouth fell open as she saw the limp body of Treepaw not far away, beside Darkkit and Nightscar. Overcome with emotion, she could barely register Thornkit's question. When she did, she looked down at him. Trying to keep calm for them, she smiled shakily. 'I'm not sure that's really the question for the moment, my bird. Why don't you, Creamkit and Sweetkit find some more kits to play with, from LeafClan?' Then, she turned to Foxtuft, silently apologizing for having to leave it so awkward. 'Hey, I'm just... Going to find Spiderpaw and Treepaw, okay? Keep the kits here and entertained while I'm gone.' And she speedily padded over to her daughter's body, tears threatening to spill out. 'Treepaw...?'

He winced as the apprentices helped him drag himself under the shelter, and they waited the earthquake out. Once it'd stopped, the others bounded out to their families and mentors, mewing with relief. He couldn't move, his back legs hurt too much, so he just lay where he was and waited.
