Spiderstar pricked his ears when a familiar voice called his name. Applesong. Its too soon! he wasnt an expert on kits, but he knew this timing was wrong. Judging by the panic in his mate's voice he knew she wasnt calling for just anything. He bolted to the crowded nursery, passing Shadepelt's kits and nearly tripping over Flickerkit as she stomped out herself. He weaved through the entrance and crouched beside Applesong. "Im here," he breathed.

[ As if deserting me wasn't enough... ]

"Sure, that sounds nice," he answered, standing and stretching stiffly. "I can hardly remember the last time I left this blasted den." He ducked outside dragging his heavy paws and yawned.

Applesong

Applesong watched in relief as her mate came to her. "Spiderstar" She mewed, breathing heavily. "The kits" Was all she managed to say. Already exhausted, Applesong looked blankly forward. Letting her mate's scent calm her. She already expected this be a hard kitting, even harder than her one with Flickerkit. There was one thing she was deadly afraid of. Applesong just couldn't bear to see one of the kit die before their chance at life. She didn't want any of them to end up like Lightkit. Applesong closed her eyes, as her body naturally worked to get the first get out.

(Along with Moonshade's injuries, Applesong is also kitting.)

"Mousedung! How long has she been here? What wounds have she received? Are they deep? Or are they just scratches?" The medicine Cat quickly switched to work mode, looking at the female warrior with seriousness that would not usually plague him. He began to flit about the room. "Tell me about the wounds she got exactly- I'd like to know if what I'm dealing with is as it looks or if it's something deeper." Duckpond returned with some Comfrey, a bit of Echinacia, and a bit of cobwebs. He was unsure if he needed only one, all, or none of them- but brought them over just in case.[b]

Claw and his fighters made their way through the forest, weaving in and out of the trees. They limped most of the time, for Morningdove, Sunclaw and Moonshade had put up quite a fight altogether. But to the huge black-and-white tom, his hackles rose in fury. He thought this would be easy. He thought he was able to scare her enough to act stupid. But she was "brave". She was stronger. And he was a fool to think nothing less. He was a fool to think that burning fire in her eyes the day of Stoneclan's destruction meant nothing- he was totally wrong. He growled under his breath and the other toms cowered in fear that he might lash out at them.
But he didn't. He just stomped along, glowering at the grass beneath his paws. Once they had left behind Timberclan territory, after along while of trekking through the forest, he let out a deep breath. He tried to calm it down a little, for the sake of the others not thinking he had been frazzled.
He entered the dip of their temporary home. He strode into the sandy clearing, completely oblivious to what had happened in his absence. He reduced his limping thoroughly, but it still really hurt on his left paw and back and left side from all the clawing and tumbling and biting Moonshade had made him suffer through. Moonshade. He blinked his red eyes. Funny name- seems to suit her more. He sighed and turned around, looking for his mate. He didn't want to think about the dark tabby anymore. He cocked his head as he saw Hollowstar laying down. Without a word, he padded towards her with expressionless eyes. He passed his cats and their eyes widened at his wounds but they looked away. A few she-cats had been lingering around Claw's mate, seeming to tend to herneeds. And he heard little squeakings... He blinked in confusion and instantly noticed her belly wasn't plump anymore. "Hollowstar?" he meowed deeply in disbelief. He looked down slowly, and laid his eyes on his new-born kits. He didn't have any words to say at once.

Moonshade turned from Foxchaser as she watched Sunclaw leave with Littlehawk. Telling him the news, I suppose... she thought sadly. She blinked her tired, dark eyes and said quietly to her medicine cat, "Ah, it's mostly clawing and biting from the rogues, Duckpond." She told him, for Sunclaw was the only one of them actually there, and Deathrage had no clue what she'd really felt. Only Sunclaw was the live witness. Good..
She let out a shaky breath and laid her head on Deathrage's fore-paws, seeking comfort. The pain was seriously killing her and she just prayed to Starclan that Duckpond would help her soon and have the right herbs for her. She couldn't leave Foxchaser and Sunclaw now. She couldn't. She would not give in to the permanent sleep Morningdove had slipped into.
She blinked up at her adoptive son, not wanting to tell him the news, but she tried to not think about that at the moment. As she closed her eyes, she was suddenly grateful. For Deathrage. Despite his name, the tom was a good, kind soul. He was caring towards Moonshade and she really didn't get that kind of treatment all that much. She was glad he was here for her.

As Spiderstar wisked away, Wiseheart shrugged and looked at Tigerstripe. "Oh well, you can thank him later. Come on, I'll take you to Duckpond's den." she mewed with a smile and helped him cross the camp to the Medicine Den. Once they were there, she helped him inside and onto a nest. She fluffed up the moss nest to make it more comfortable for the injured tom. Then she smiled at him and purred warmly, "There you go. Now you can finally rest! Is there anything you would like me to do or get for you?" she offered and waved her tail slowly and calmly in the air.

Littlehawk nodded and budged his half sister, wanting to move as soon as possible. He had to save his mother's body if it was possible. Nothing had possessed him lie this for awhile, and nothing would for quite sometime. It was odd thinking about not knowing this cat at all, but having the same blood running in his veins.

Hollowstar smiled at her mate and pushed everyone else out of the way, leaving a clear path to the little princes. "Two were dead at birth, all five are toms," She said with a small smile down at the live kits. With a lick to each kit lay itself upon their brows, she purred. The satisfaction was unreal. Her pleasure of being a mother obvious.
