Violetblaze

Without a second thought, I slid into the water after the apprentice. I grabbed the scruff of his neck and tried to pull him ashore. But it was too much, fighting the current and pulling him. I began to lose ground.

Sunstar was out walking, thinking, when he heard a desperate yowl. He ran towards it, and saw Violetblaze trying to pull Silentpaw out of a current. "Hold on!" He called and grabbed Violetblaze, pulling her back to let her regain her footing.

Did you mean he pulled both of them out? Or just Violetblaze?)

Violetblaze

I found a foothold in the pebbles and dug my claws in. Pulling with all my might, I dragged Silentpaw to a shallower portion of the river.

Sunstar quickly moved around Violetblaze and went into the water. It only went up to his belly fur, but it was fast. He pushed Silentpaw towards Violetblaze.

Violetblaze

I dragged Silentpaw out of the river and stood on the bank. Water dripped from my pelt. I blinked the sun from my eyes and turned to Sunstar. If anything, the rescue just made me love him more. "Well... Maybe I should've thought before I jumped right in. All I could think about was helping him."

Sunstar shook the water out of his thick, golden fur. "It was the right thing to do." He said, a gleam in his eyes, before turning to Silentpaw. "Are you alright?" He asked gently, his tail flicking.

[storm coming.]

Silentpaw shook his jet black pelt, sending ater on theirs. "I-i I think so..." He meowed uncertainly.

I purred and began to groom Silentpaw, turning my attention from Sunstar.
