Appleleaf blinked at Fadedpaw, taking in her response, "It's a wondrous place indeed," she mewed in agreement before asking, "Have you had anything to eat yet?" She found it important to fill up on food as much as one could before they wouldn't be able to eat prey on the way there. The Moonpool was a ways from camp, so it always took awhile for the travelling parties to reach it.

He was only mildly surprised that the clan hadn't quite chased him out with a bloody pelt just yet, having made his way back into the clan territory. He'd been hanging around for a few moons now, occasionally seeing his son training to be a warrior. They hadn't even seen each other since his son was about eight moons, when his former mate had left him with more scars, himself nearly dying before she had returned to the clan, having lashed out on both him and the kits, after he said that he wouldn't join the clan. Bramblepaw had shown up during the aftermath of it, immediately taking his mother back to the camp. He'd buried three of his kits that day, and he hoped that he wouldn't be around to bury his last living kit.

Merely watching his mentor get a bit irritable at the leader himself for practically ignoring her advice, he only bit his tongue although had a split second of wanting to say something and thought better of it. It's not like it would have helped anyway. Rising to his paws once more, he dipped his head out of respect for the leader before following his mentor, briefly wondering when his assessment would be since Blizzardstar had brought it up. And he needed to work on his hunting a bit more as well, his paws were better built for fighting than chasing prey.

Her mentor really was too nice, allowing her to sleep in while everyone else was up and already in patrols and the like, or in her case, beginning the day. Shaking her pelt out, she took a quick glance around the camp for her friend, but didn't see his pelt anywhere. He must've left already, she assumed, turning back to her mentor as she started to speak. "You only woke me up, it's not like you threw mouse bile on me." She answered, wondering if the warrior would ever stop apologizing or not yet. Probably not.
