Songbreeze huffed in irritation. They were no where to be seen. Their trail was mixed and muddled, and the wind wasn't helping. She sighed, trying to sniff the air, catch their scent, but to no avail. The wind would've blown their scent sideways, away from her. Lovely. Maybe they went back and I missed them. Songbreeze flicked her ears in irritation. "Well, I guess I'll be going back," she said to herself, and turned to go back to camp.

Despite the fact that she'd just been interrogated and scolded, the bounce had gradually returned to Cloudtuft's stride as she left Stagstar for the night. She was hearing her own mentality, now, not those of the dogs who'd, rightfully, scolded her. They mean well, but they're wrong. I know that the other Packs can be reasoned with. Today just...wasn't the right day. A little smile spread across her fluffy, white face at that. She'd respect what her packmates told her; she'd avoid intruding in the territory of other Packs in the future. However, she still wouldn't lose her faith in them. Suddenly, the prospect of facing Velvetstar didn't seem so terrifying. Plus, the venture to ShadowPack territory may give her an opportunity to learn more about that familiar apprentice...

She beamed as she noticed Songbreeze returning - at least, she did at first. She thought it signified that her apprentice, Patchpaw, and his sister, Spottedpaw, were home and safe, too. She wouldn't even be angry with him! Unfortunately, it didn't seem that way; the apprentices weren't walking beside Songbreeze as she came over the hill. Cloudtuft greeted her with a few wags of her curly tail, but she was unfocused, glancing intently around the other warrior for the younger dogs. "Welcome back! - but, um...where are the apprentices?"

The two younger dogs walked deeper into the Skypack's abandoned territory, looking for prey, but didn't really found anything, even if they did the animals was way too scared to be caught "hmm...this is weird..." he said, turning to his sister "maybe you're right, let's go back" he said.

He run back to the camp stopping near the camp entrance, unhearing his mentor's question "we're here..." he said panting hardly "by the way, we saw something? It's either bad, good or doesn't bother us at all" he said.

As they walked deeper she started to get nervous, there was an odd smell and something was not right "we better go back, this is dangerous" she said to her brother.

As her brother agreed on her, the two dogs race back to the camp almost running into the Songbreeze who was near the camp's entrance "Oh sorry" she said to the older dog "I think it will bother us, as either of us didn't see any prey anywhere" she said to him.

Songbreeze, feeling surprised that the apprentices weren't there yet, was just about to answer when they ran up. She listened to their story, ears cocked, thinking. She had, for one, as an apprentice, run off on her own plenty of times, and had learned that if you distract the right dog with tall tales of deer or strange sights, you could weasel your way out of trouble. This didn't seem to be Patchpaw and Spottedpaw's intentions, though. "What did you see?" she asked them, sitting down on her rump, her tail twitching.

He looked at Songbreeze opening his mouth but then closed it again "well first of all don't kill us, but...eh we kind of got to the Skypack's old territory, which is abandoned by the dogs who lived there..." he said shutting his words down once again. He let his sister speak when he remembers some think there as well "oh yes and the large water hole there was all black...it looked very nasty" he said.

She looked at the Songbreeze as well "yes, it's abandoned by the Skypackers, but there was something else..." she said shutting her words down as well trying to find the right words to use "Well there were lots of large monsters and lots of some nasty traps, where some of the animals was got catch and died?" she kept speaking.

Her fluffy, white head snapped around at the sound of more approaching footfalls. Over the hill appeared two smaller dogs, speckled black and white. It was the apprentices! "Oh, thank StarPack you're safe!" Cloudtuft barked, scampering up to shower both with overly-affectionate nuzzles. Despite her relief, what they answered Songbreeze with was quite alarming, even to the lighthearted, young Cloudtuft's ears. "Woah, woah, slow down," she soothed. "I'm sure Stagstar will understand, and whatever is going down at SkyPack's territory probably isn't as bad as it sounds! Plus, there's no reason to fuss about it while we can't even see it; we should get some rest and investigate it in the morning. Right, Songbreeze?" The naivety of her own sentence struck her quickly as she finished it and looked over at her fellow warrior for validation. Even though she'd been scolded to ShadowPack and back, though, she wanted the apprentices to be able to relax, so her gaze remained soft and determined, urging Songbreeze to agree.

Songbreeze rolled her eyes at Cloudtuft's zeal to trespass on yet another pack's territory, even if it was abandoned, but agreed. "Fine, yeah, sure. Tomorrow, though." Songbreeze yawned, though her mind was racing. They aren't as much of trouble makers, especially Spottedpaw. It doesn't seem like they're lying, but... it sounds so absurd... Song scowled at the ground beneath her paws, trying to work it out. It was dark. Maybe the pups had just imagined it.

Camp doesn't seem that full, he thought to himself as he sorted through and nonchalantly listened to Dunlinfur speaking with Whiteleg. His mentor was taking care of the elder, so he didn't think to offer help and simply stayed to his duties. "We have enough poppy seeds, but we may need some more comfrey," Deerpaw murmured to himself and gently pawed at the herbs spoken aloud.

Dunlinfur left Whiteleg, trying not to show his own exhaustion as he padded to the medicine den. Only once he was out of sight did Dunlinfur allow himself a heavy sigh. He needed to hurry if he wanted this chore over with, but his body simply would not move with any efficiency. Fortunately, it seemed Deerpaw was conveniently right where he was needed.
"Deerpaw, thank StarPack. Help me with the wool. All'v it. We need t'make a bed for Whiteleg."
Dunlinfur continued speaking as he worked.
"It's been a day and a half. I'll fill y'in later."
At that point, there was no further use talking, Dunlinfur's mouth was full of as much wool as he could carry, making speech impossible to understand even if he bothered to try. It would take a few trips to give up his wool collection, but he supposed collecting more would just have to be tomorrow's task.

He listened to the two older dogs, his eyes wandering toward the fresh-kill pile "so is there something to eat?" he asked sighing "we did go out to hunt but didn't really found anything, the forest is like dead or something...except for those dead animals into those traps...but my six scents told me to leave them there..." he said thinking.

She flicked her ears and looked at the two other dogs, nervously, part of her wondered if they believed them or not, but why could they lie something like that. Sighing she made a look around the clearing spotting the elder's den "oh, by the way, did someone brings some beddings to Whiteleg? we kind of forgotten" she said awkwardly.
