Kyle smiled widely and pushed Socks into a trot as he made he way out of the stable. The horse tossed his head a few times, his younger nerves bundling and trying to move into a canter. Kyle held him back though, running a hand down his grey neck, "Easy buddy." Kyle pulled an MP3 player out of his pocket and pushed one headphone into his ear. The boy started moving his shoulders to a beat and laughing a little when he looked back for Ivy, "You comin'?" he winked before letting Socks move into an easy paced canter. The horse moved down the trail and into the woods, keep snowing from gathering on his back.

The two passed Mr. Grey and Christian and Kyle waved happily for a second before grabbing the reins again and pulling Socks back into a trot. The horse tossed his head in slight anger but dealt with the speed change. Socks neighed lightly and Kyle smiled again, making Socks stop and turn so he could keep an eye on Ivy and Ebony.

((I assumed Ivy and Kyle were going on a trail while Lily went and worked Seb. xD))

Christian considered the bucket of carrots. They looked clean enough, maybe it wouldn't hurt if he had a couple. He plucked two carrots from the bucket and looked back down at Mr. Grey, who was making his way out the door and towards the stalls. "Alright, you, you obviously want something from me," he said, beginning to walk after the cat. Perhaps there would even be a place for him to wash the carrots he had picked up on the way.

Mr. Grey purred, and jumped over the floor, towards one of the stalls. He stopped in front of Sweet Heavens box, and meowed. The dappled mare came over to the entrance, and neighed softly. Mr. Grey replied with a soft purr, before he walked back to Christian, making sure he joined him to keep Rosey company.

Christian looked curiously at the horse, then down at his apparent 'guide'. "Alright, this cat is weird," he announced whilst considering Mr. Grey cautiously, looking for signs of godly omniscience. He then looked at the carrots he was clutching sadly, knowing that at least one would be gone in the next few moments.

With a heavy sigh, he held one out to the mare. The orange vegetable looked perfect, its ridges cast in shadow that only further accented the perfection. She would surely appreciate such a wonderful a snack, being pregnant and all. "Here you go, Rosey, a nice carrot that I was going to eat. All for you," he said softly, hoping it wouldn't take too long for him to be able to put his hand back down.

Rosey picked her head up from the hay she was munching. The friendly barn cat had come to visit, she thought. Another figure approached her stall. She sensed a bit of caution coming from the man. She softly voiced her greeting to him, trying to comfort him. A delicious scent reached her delicate nostrils and she couldn't resist. With soft lips, she nibbled up the carrot and sniffed Christian's hand for more. Her large belly tingled slightly and she turned away for a second to itch a spot by her flank. Rose returned to her search for more food.

Christian was relieved to have the massive horse finally take her head away, minus the delicious carrot he had once held. But suddenly, Rosey's muzzle was once again at his withdrawing palm. Ah. The second carrot would not have such a smooth getaway. With a sad smirk, he offered up the unfortunate vegetable.

Another carrot! Rosey rumbled a nicker deep in her chest. She quickly crunched the root leaving nothing behind. Her nose was already thrusting itself into Christian's palm in search for more of the scrumptious food. Her pelt itched again but she ignored it. She continued to softly poke her muzzle wherever she could.

Bend. Bend. Bend. Half halt! Half halt! Bend, bend. Inside leg, outside rein. "Good boy!" Lily praised her sweaty gelding. She slowed him to a walk from the trot and relaxed in to his smooth gait. They had a much better better half of the hour than before. He had stopped fighting her and started moving forward on the bit.
"Good boy Sebastian." She patted his neck. Even in the cool winter he had worked up a sweat. She had taken her feet out of the stirrups and pushed him on with only her seat. They walked over to gate that led straight into the barn. She dismounted and ran up the stirrups. She unbuckled the girth and slipped the saddle off but left the saddle pad on. Lily could see steam already rising from his coat. After setting the saddle on a rail, she led her gelding into the barn and quickly swept his stable blanket over his back. She slid the saddle pad from underneath the blanket. She then started to walk him up and down the aisle. It was warmer than the arena and she had to make sure that he wouldn't get chills.

Christian slowly pulled his hand away from the eager mare, not wishing to move too quickly and risk getting bitten or something. "Sorry, girl, that's all I had," he apologized, moving away from the stall. He felt awkward talking to a horse. Much less a horse that didn't even belong to him. With these last words, he turned to go back to the house. But, as he was walking down the aisle, he heard someone come in. He turned hesitantly, not knowing exactly who he would find upon looking. He was relieved to see that it was only Lily. He waved a hand hesitantly before calling to her, "Hey, Lily!"

Rose stared at the boy who was just beyond her reach. She lightly stomped her hoof in mock grumpiness. Soon though, she went back to her hay.

A voice yanked Lily out of her thoughts. "Oh hi Christian. How are you?" She said quietly. Sebastian walked patiently beside her. She stopped to talk to Christian and the gelding stopped next to her without putting up a fuss. He was tired from the hard work out. He had wasted a lot of energy acting up and then was put through his paces by Lily.
The brown haired girl was interested in what Christian had to say. She felt that he didn't feel comfortable around the barn and really wanted to help him. She slid her hand down the front of Sebastian's rug, feeling his chest to see if he was cool enough. He was, but she was going to walk him for another minute then give him a well deserved grooming. Maybe Christian will want to help. Lily thought.
