Lavenderpaw jumped and bristled slightly at the sound of her mentor's voice. Realizing it was Swiftfoot, she gave her chest a couple of embarrassed licks and let her fur lie flat. "Oh, of course, Swiftfoot. Sorry, I didn't know it was you. Where would you like to train?" She mewed, tilting her head slightly while she waited for an answer. She had been so deep in thought that she hadn't even heard her mentor pad up. What kind of warrior would she be if she kept on like that? She thought bitterly, twisting her face up in disgust.

Calmpaw listened to her friend Strikepaw with a mix of delight, from the story of Songheart's fury towards Foxpaw; and also envy, as Calmpaw came out of the den too late, not bring able to see the discord. The tabby apprentice now flung her tail back and forth,
like a snake chasing some prey, in excitement, the sand bearing fan-like prints. Calmpaw replied, with a tone of humor,
"Huh! I do wonder whether Songheart will ever get used to being touched."
The she-cat suddenly thought of training after Strikepaw's mention of hunting, and asked again:
"Do you know where Silverpetal is? I want to ask her something."
a Calmpaw without calmness was a cat in need of some hyperactive movement.

The dark-furred tom, filled with deep, flowing distress, ambled throughout the rooms, blinded by an excessive rage that he could not escape today. His pawsteps echoed through the rooms, and even though these steps were loud, no one came to pick him up by the tail or pull his ears. He was lost deep in thought, trying to think of a plan he could make right now.

featherpaw flashed a sad but knowing smile to the little kit as she was dragged back to the nursery by her mother. glancing around the clan camp, her grey eyes sweeping the area for any indication of where her mentor was. "do you want to go back to the beach?" the apprentice offered, turning to willowpaw, "I can actually teach you how to fish this time."

With her head cleared, Dapplestream felt a surge of energy. The she-cat ceased her grooming upon seeing Softleaf leaving camp. Although it wasn't out of the ordinary for a cat to leave camp alone, Dapplestream had recently seen a few behavioral changes in the other warrior and perhaps now was the chance to find out why. "Hey, Softleaf. Do you mind if I head out with you?" she asked as she padded up to Softleaf's side. With any luck, she wouldn't catch on to the fact that she was only going with her for observational purposes.

It wasn't really Dapplestream's fault, Softleaf just needed to be less grumpy. Anyways, Dapplestream was just being friendly. "Where do you want to go?" Softleaf asked a little too quickly.

With Dapplestream out of his pelt, Frostpaw looked around camp for something to do. He hated staying idle more than anything - he usually kept his nose buried in work. Typically, he would look towards his mentor for tasks that needed to be handled. However, he hadn't seen him all day. He walked out of the medicine cat den, contemplating whether he should leave camp to gather any herbs they were running low on. He was the only medicine cat in the camp though...

Strikepaw laughed at Calmpaw's joke. She looked around her quickly to make sure Songheart wasn't around to hear them gossiping about her. "Tell me about it! You'd think a cat with a name like that would be kinder. I feel bad for any cat unlucky enough to get apprenticed to her, haha." Strikepaw wondered what kind of punishment Songheart would get for attacking a new apprentice. That aside, she liked Calmpaw's company - despite the latter's name, she was one of few cats that could keep up with her high energy.
She thought for a moment. "I can't say I know. What did you wanna ask her?" Strikepaw asked, curious.

I personally love the water, so I'll have a good advantage from that, She thought, giving her fur a couple of quick licks before following her mentor to the camp's exit.

They arrived in camp, and she led them into her personal driftwood den. There was barely enough room for the three of them, but this would have to do for now; there was no other place for them to really talk in private. "Before I give out punishments, I'd like to know specifically why this happened in the first place. Do you two have problems with each other?" Primrosestar questioned and gave them both stern looks.

Flattered, he smiled politely at Adderhead and purred "Oh, are you sure? You're the one who caught it, anyways." Shadowblaze cocked his head to one side and waited for his response, unsure if he should take the vole just to be polite. Although, there was also a feeling of slight guilt for taking the first, fresh catch of the day. Someone else was more deserving of it.
