"I was bought by my Master before Loka was." Tolvia's voice was happy, a wistful tone in there as she remembered the days when she would lay by the fire at her masters feet and doze happily. "Mother told me it would be a good place, so I went willingly. The first two years went by smoothly, then my Master kept drinking some liquid that made him angry and he would slap and kick me, throw me at the walls." Her voice was now rough, deep, and her eyes showed a slightly glint of hurt as she remembered what she'd rather not. "Master's female friend bought Loka home close to the time that we were abandoned, and I sought to protect him from Master. One day, I was outside, it was twilight. Master stood on Loka's backleg and stayed there while he screamed, so I ran at him and defied the rules of a loyal dog..." She trailed off, looking down at he floor. Godric should have been able to know the rest. "Now we're out here, on our own." Suddenly, as quickly as her sad mood had returned, it dissapeared and her tail was wagging once more. "Loka's leg is fine now." She informed him, panting with happiness that she had found dogs that she may be able to call her friends.
Loka looked at Burnt and frowned, his lips quivering. "We didn't come from the wild!" He barked, his tail fluffing. "We came from a house in the city, Mom saved me from the man in there." He huffed, flicking his tail and looking the other way.

you took me into your arms
you taught me to smile, be brave
you were my teacher, my lover, my life
but one day, you shot me down
and i never got back up
