Thornpaw picked out a mouse from the measly fresh-kill pile. She looked around to see if anybody wanted to share it.
She noticed Mistpaw, but pinned her ears against her head. No, I shouldn't ask him. He'll probably say no. Instead, Thornpaw put the mouse back and sat down beside the apprentices' den, ignoring her rumbling belly.

what, you think i won't share with you? he padded over and picked up the mouse, and motioned for her to take a bite.

Cloudpaw bounced over to where Ravenwing was, sitting by the warrior."You recovered yet?"he asked. Though to most he was a pain in the tail, he could actually be a really kind cat, caring deeply about his clan.

ah, not yet. i sprained my paw pretty bad, apparently. i'm hoping to get back tomorrow. her green eyes flicked up to one of the mountain peaks, where a bird circled lazily.

Cloudpaw turned his head back to Ravenwing and nodded."Well keep resting! I'll make sure the clan is well fed."he was once again acting overconfident, being full of himself.

"Oh I was just wondering if you wanted to share this rabbit?" She meowed setting the prey down in front of him. She didn't know what it was about him she just liked him. Whenever he walked by her heart skipped. What was wrong with her? She should focus on being a warrior, that was more important.

Cloudpaw looked at Fawnpaw, his gaze not giving away much."I guess."he answered after a few moments, shrugging as he answered."Then I have to hunt. Im sure the patrols will do much better once I join them. Yesterday I caught a falcon."he puffed out his chest as he bragged about his catch."I swear its the biggest one i've ever seen."

She gasped, "Wow that's amazing!" She gasped her tail lashing from side to side. "When you become a warrior you'll be the best hunter in the clan by far!"

Cloudpaw only seemed to be encouraged by the she-cat's admiration."I know I will. I'll also be the best fighter in the clan. I promise you that no wolf could take me down!"

Crowshadow arranged the herbs,sorting them into separate places,and making sure they were all fresh

Blueshadow glanced over at Crowshadow."Leafpaw and I already gathered tansy and comfrey. Were well stocked on the rest, well as well as we can be due to this cold weather."
