Silverstar watched as the patrols assembled. She purred as she saw the excited apprentices getting ready for their first trip out of camp. "I think I'll stay here to help guard the camp," she meowed to Jaggedgaze.

Shadowsong nodded and walked over to Jaggedgaze and his patrol. She tilted her head slightly so she could see out of her good eye. She got used to her one blind eye very quickly and had no problems. She kept up with all the other warriors just as well as one would that wasn't half blind. She still couldn't help but wonder what she could be like if she had sight in both eyes.

Russetpaw with wide eyes looked at his new mentor excitedly. He was finally going to get to go hunting. It would be his first time out of camp. He bounded over to Dawnlight struggling to keep his excitement in.

Ashpool stared at the sky. He was bored out of his mind. He trotted into the Medicine cats den. "Hello?" he mewed. He inhaled the scent of the den, feeling relaxed. He waited for a response. He layed on the cool ground of the den.

Willowbreeze trotted away from the Warriors den. She wanted to know where Dawnlight was. She sat down near highrock and began to groom herself.

Meadowshade let out a soft chuckle seeing the cats around. She inhaled the fresh clean air that she was grateful that Twolegs didn't spoil it. She walked towards the exit of camp. She sat down and began to watch the cats, in search for Daystones brown fur.

Thornfang entered the warriors den. He sat and watched the entrance.

Lilyheart sat in her moss. She groomed herself in boredom. She inhaled the sweet scent of the forest happily. She left the den and looked around.

Silverstar watched as the apprentices left for their first trip out of camp. It was something she always looked forwards to as a kit. She never got the chance to do it though because of the fire. She wasn't that upset about that though. She did get to travel farther and explore more then even most warriors did. She thought back to the long struggle of finding new territory. They had travelled a very long distance. She didn't remember much since she was so young and what she did remember she sometimes wishes she didn't. The cats were walking. It felt like they had been walking forever. It was starting to get dark. They would stop to rest for the night soon. Suddenly there was a loud yowl and a flash of bright orange within the cats. Silverkit froze with horrors as cats ran in all directions. She tried to keep up with the largest group but she just wasn't fast enough. The fox jumped in front of her and she froze in terror. She then realized that it wasn't the fox. It was a cat with orange fur. She felt herself get scooped up and carried.
Silverstar jolted from her flashback. She stared at the ground while she let the memories fade away.

Appleleaf had watched and listened carefully throughout the whole meeting. Once it was done he glanced to his sister and her new apprentice. Once his name was called he hauled himself to his paws and padded along with his patrol.

Leading his patrol into the forest, flicking his tail, he turned to his patrol. "Shadowsong and and Appleleaf, I want you two to go hunting around the road a little farther away from here," he then turned to the rest of his patrol. "The rest of you scout around and see what you can find.." and without another word, he stalked off into the bushes.

Runningwind got to his paws, and padded over to her, his eyes filled with concern. "Are you alright? You seem a bit...bothered by something.."

Silverstar jumped, startled by Runningwind's voice. "It's nothing," she said maybe a little too quickly. Why keep it a secret, she thought to herself. "So maybe it is something, but nothing to worry about. I've just been getting a few flashbacks and nightmares lately."

Shadowsong stared at the spot her deputy had just been standing. I guess he wants some time to himself, she thought. Shadowsong turned to Appleleaf. "Ready?" she asked.

"It's fine," Silverstar meowed. "It's in the past now." She didn't want to seem weak or scared to her clanmates. She didn't consider herself to be weak or feel scared but she still felt that if she shared too much about her flashbacks and nightmares it would appear that way.
