Asp tilted his head. Though he towed over this cat, his claws where like dog's teeth to this cat, he had the total advantage, he did not sense that she was scared for her life. Is she ill? Does this cat want to die? Or perhaps she is simply not daunted by my presence. Asp was surprised; that was a first. "Nor me." The large cat replied, looking calmly down at her. He dipped his head in respect, sheathing his claws. My apologies for frightening you. Am I trespassing?" He had been through this many times before; usually, the deal was he was on somecat's land, and hey where scared of him, so they wanted him out.

She didn't make eye contact with the other cat her bit of a shy personality showing through "Its fine..." She said softly. Crestleaf looked more in the toms direction her green eyes clouded with nervousness. "You are... T-this is Phoenix Clan territory, and I am the medicine cat of that clan." She said her voice quiet. Despite the way she usually acted around her clan mates she was very shy around new comers and hated to fight. She had always struggled with eye contact and knows its not good to speak quiet though she does. Her jaw tightened as her eyes followed back down to her paws focusing her pale gaze on them

Asp sighed. "Yes, I understand, I'm sorry." I knew it. She is scared. Frightened by y very presence. How am I ever going to find friends and a family when I'm like this? The large tom dipped his head, squaring his shoulders. If I am going to do this, I have to make sure I don't scare her. He laid down, trying to push himself to the ground to make himself less intimating. Even though he was on the ground, he was still just a bit taller then her. Just get on with it! He hissed inwardly. "What is PhoenixClan?" He asked softly.

She tilted her head slightly, and by his appearance he seemed to be trying to be polite. She then smiled lightly, still not making eye contact with him, just out of her shyness. "Phoenix-clan is a group of cats, and we work together with eachother and we have our leader, Snowstar. And everyone else, Our apprentices, Warriors, and Elders Queens and Kits." She said quietly."I myself only joined about 10 moons ago.." She said remembering the day. "Have you never been in a clan?" She asked him in a soft tone,

Asp, still trying to look as harmless as possible, shook his large head lightly. "No. Because of my size I have been shunned for all of my life. I've been traveling for moons now, looking for a group of cats to belong with. I hate being alone." The gigantic tom sighed, looking down. "You say your Clan is a group of cats?" He asked. "Do you think I could join?" Please accept me, please accept me, please accept me! The large tom begged inwardly.

She listened to his story and felt empathy for him, her eyes soft. Her face lit up a bit as she heard his question "Of course you can, why wouldn't we?" She smiled warmly

Asp dipped his head, nearly bursting with joy. He didn't show it, though, when he stood and waited for the ''Clan" cat to do the same. He let out a deep, gruff purr. "Thank you, so much. You don't know what this means to me. My name is Asp, by the way. Like the snake." Thank you, whoever is above and watching me. He thought happily, looking up at the sky, smiling like an idiot.

She dipped her head to the tom "Nice to meet you--Asp" Crestleaf said her gaze warm "I'm Crestleaf.." She said in a quiet tone "Come, camp is this way" She said following her nose towards camp. A question popped into her head. "I have one question... D-did you ever... Meet somebody named Rotto?" She asked a bit awkward her eyes narrowing slightly

Asp nodded. "Okay. Crestleaf is a nice name. Poetic." He mewed, following the smaller cat on a well-worn trail through the forest. "Let's see...Rotto, was it? Hm..." The large tom thought for a second, thinking hard. He wracked his brain, but didn't think of anything. "No, sorry, never met him. Was he a sibling?" He asked softly, fondly remembering Viper and Adder, his littermates.
