Mistpetal wasn't quite meeting his eyes, because in all honesty, she was feeling rather shy. He was even nicer in person. "Oh, er... That sounds good, okay." She mewed softly, her gaze flicking directly to meet his eyes, though only for a second.

He slowed down as he neared the river, forgetting all about Tigerfoot's warning. He sat down by it, completely unaware of the fast-moving in front of him. "Oh, what have I done?" He murmured to himself, tears threatening to pour out. He swallowed hard, keeping them in. Suddenly, he heard something in the distance. A... Breaking, sort of sound. And then there was a wave of water, falling towards him. He flattened his ears and bushed his fur out, staring at it with frightened eyes. "What in StarClan..?" He managed to yowl before being taken in by the massive wave. His head was pulled under and he struggled for breath, attempting to yowl out for help. Finally, after a while, he was thrown onto the bank as the wave died down. He landed on his flank with a loud thud, winded. He was unconscious, eyes closed and fur drenched.

"I guess so." The tom stretched his forelimbs, allowing his amber gaze to quickly scan over the she-cat. "Yeah, training." He tucked his tail around his lower appendages, staring at her expectantly. He preferred to go back to training, but.. Maybe if he talked to someone for a bit, Tigerfoot would get off his back about 'getting along with clanmates.' His face darkened at the thought.

"R-really?" She asked, eyes brightening immediately. "Can we really? You're the bes--" She stopped, hearing a faint sound. Was that Wolfheart's voice? She wasn't sure. "D-Did you hear that?" Lightpaw asked quietly, glancing up to meet Whistlesong's gaze. [short]

"All on your own?" Stormsong pressed, almost sounding faintly skeptical. "And what's wrong? You looked a bit annoyed suddenly." She added, commenting on the way that his expression had darkened briefly. "Am I bothering you?

"Mistpetal, are you ok? You're acting a bit off," he noticed, tilting his head. The tom's sea green eyes sparkled for a moment, then it was gone, his ears consistently growing hotter.

Whistlesong «
She heard the faint yowl, as well. Wolfheart! she realized in alarm. "C'mon, Lightpaw!" she squeaked, urgency in her voice.

He lay on the river bank, barely breathing. He was winded and unconscious, after the wave had thrown him here.

"W-What? No, I'm fine!" Mistpetal felt her face grow warmer, embarrassed. Oh dear, she didn't want him thinking that she was strange... "I'm nit acting off, am I? Heheh."

"I don't do well with others. Plus I have.. a reason for training on my own." Adderfur's dark gaze faltered for a moment as she asked him if she was annoying him. "No, you're not nearly as annoying as.. Er.. No, you aren't. I was just thinking of something I dislike." The image of his sibling flashed through his mind, and he glanced away, sheathing and unsheathing his claws like an impatient kitten. Why he'd tried to convince her she wasn't annoying, he wasn't sure. Usually he'd agree, tell them they were bothering him, and watch in satisfaction as they walked away. Even though she'd interrupted his training, he still felt.. Obligated, for some reason, to be friendly towards her. Or try to, anyways. Not sure why, he frowned, sinking back into his thoughts again.

Lightpaw nodded frantically, dashing towards the sound of Wolfheart's urgent shout. Skidding to a stop along the shoreline of the river, her light gaze scanned the mud, finding a familiar, soaked gray shape. She ran over to him, her mouth agape at the male's limp form. What do I do, what do I do?! She thought miserably, whimpering as the cold water lapped at his paws. She desperately grabbed his scruff, failing to pull him back from the life-threatening water. She wasn't strong enough to pull a full-grown cat. "W-Wolfheart, please wake up!" She sniffled, trembling slightly. Lightpaw glanced up, searching for Whistlesong through watery eyes.

"...you are..." he mumbled. He shook his head. "Oh well."

Whistlesong «
Whistlesong darted after Lightpaw, helping her pull Wolfheart onto dry land. "Lightpaw, help me take him to camp!"

[bramble;]

"Care to enlighten me? With your reason, I mean. You know, I could train with you." Stormsong tilted her head, her tail flicking gently.

Mistpetal looked away to the side, "Sorry if I seem a bit odd, it's nothing personal."
