Kyrasael avoiding the bear as best as possible, zigzagging around in circles that it was becoming a bit boring. Yes, there was the risk of death, but it was still begot the feeling of laziness in him. As much as he wanted to trot around teasing the bear for the shear spite of fun, he forced himself not to. His strange sense of fun would just endanger Kirsten- and perhaps any others that might be close by.
His ears perked up when he heard Kristen, pausing for a second when she mentioned a fox den. Where? He glanced around, finding it hard to see. He came back to reality when he saw the bear too close for comfort, swiping at him in anger. Kyrasael leapt away, the bear’s claws nicking his fur and scratching his skin, immediately stinging. He ran away, looking around until he found the hole. It was just big enough for his slender body to pull through with enough momentum or effort. He scrambled over to it, running with the bear still close on his heels. He leapt up, pushing off his back paws and throwing himself at the hole. He wasn’t quick enough, surprisingly, only getting partway through before a sharp and painful yelp echoed into the forest.
The bear had him by the leg, teeth imbedded in his muscle as blood began to soak his black coat. He kicked at the bear, pain surging through his leg as he struggled to crawl and kick. His paw connected with the bear’s neck and cheek a few times before kicking it in the nose. It bellowed a roar and let go, giving Kyrasael that split second opportunity to scramble in further. Which he willingly took. He crawled slowly through the tunnel. Roots hanging above and trees roots curved around. He slothfully crawled further in until he was safe in the middle, turning his head slightly to look back, ears pulled back as he let out a menacing growl. If only he could kill it, he would. But then again, he would not leave those cubs without their mother. It was tragic.
Kyrasael could hear the bear clawing and roaring, trying to get at him. But the hole was too small and it couldn’t fit even it’s head inside. It seemed like forever before the bear growled and became frustrated, circling around before finding it was no use and slowly walking away. Lucky for them for the fox hole, but not lucky that Kyrasael just barely managed to fit and almost got his leg snapped off. He took a moment to lay his head on his paws, wondering what he’d say if the alpha came around…
No time to think about that. He lifted his head and began to crawl again, almost dragging his left back leg because it hurt so much to move it. However, he refused to give into pain- or even show it on his face. He came out the other end and pulled his body out and stood, shaking out his fur from the dirt that had accumulated there from crawling through the tunnel. He kept his weight off his back leg, paw just barely touching the ground as blood began to seep down his leg from the nasty gapping wound in his thigh. Kyrasael sneezed a couple of times from the dirt on his nose, shaking his head and using a paw to rub at his nose to get it off.
