Redfox's tail swished as they padded through the woods, the melody of bird songs filled the russet-colored cat's ears. Sunlight sliced through the thin branches of trees and cascaded down onto her pelt. She purred and draped her tail along Darkstar's back, wishing the moment would last though she knew that was impossible. She was speechless from the many moons going unnoticed for the pair, herself and the tom alongside her.

Darkstar smiled at Redfox and licked her cheek again, "Would you care to share a mouse?" He asked.

She filled in beside him, plopping down onto the ground as she silently nodded, smiled remaining faintly. "Sure," she finally responded, simple as that. Redfox's tail curled around Darkstar's as she gazed at the fresh-kill pile, releasing her tail's grip as she stood, padding to the pile. Sniffing around she lowered her head and clenched a decent-sized mouse in her jaws. With that, she ran to her new mate, skidding to a halt beside Darkstar.

He purred as his mate returned. "You can have a bite first. As they always say, ladies first." He mewed.

Redfox purred and in declaration answered to that with, "You are too sweet!" She playfully nudged him and smiled warmly. "If you say so." She bent down to take a bite from the deceased mouse's warm and surprisingly delicious flesh. {ew} She then lifted her head and nosed it to the other cat.

Darkstar bent his head to have a few quick bites of the mouse, which was warm. He then raised his head and licked his jaws. "That was delicious." He purred.

Redfox nods in agreement, beaming, "Splendid." The fluffy cat chuckled a little and shook out her pelt. "So, what do you want to do?" She asked curiously.

"You can go rest in my den. I need to think of a deputy." He purred and licked his mates cheek. "I love you..." He whispered then padded away, tail raised an eyes gleamed. He was glad to have her as a mate. She is very beautiful, kind, amazing, everything that can be used to describe her. Then thought of the warriors to be worthy of deputy. The black tom padded outside of camp to think of them. "For sure, not Redfox..." He mewed. "Tigerleaf? He's very loyal and strong. Great leadership. Maybe... Silverstripe? Very kind towards others. Great for kits, queens, and elders. Copperskies? Deerstep?!" He murmured. After a moment of thought, he made his decision. Then padded back to camp, not going back on his thought.

Redfox smiles and nods, licking Darkstar's ear she turned towards the den. Personally, she didn't feel the desire to become deputy herself, she had all that she'd needed. She wasn't exactly much compared to some of the other warriors, plus she wanted kits. "I love you!" She called before turning around and starting towards the leader's den curiously. She'd only been in there a few times, some being when she was a curious and troublesome young kit. She sniffed around before curling up in Darkstar's nest after stretching out her paws. Her tail draped over her nose but she couldn't sleep so she just stared out over the camp.

The black tom padded to the Highrock, eyes blazed and tail raised high. "Let all cats old enough to hunt for the clan, gather under the Highrock for a Clam meeting." His yowl rang around the camp.

Deerstep looked up and heard her leader's call. Maybe a meeting for deputy. She didn't care if she was deputy or not.
