• s h a d o w star ... • // she-cat // leader // with Clan //
Shadowstar leapt skillfully onto the High Rock with ease. She scanned the clearing, many cats were in camp. Blinking her icy eyes, her voice rang through the hollow. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here under the High Rock for a special Clan meeting."
• n i g h t shade ... • // tom // warrior // with Featherkit //
Nightshade flicked his ears at Shadowstar's voice. Featherkit lifted her head quickly and he smiled. "I'll be back, love." He mewed to Ashcloud as Featherkit raced out of the den. His eyes twinkled with irritation, but as he pushed out of the nursery he was suprised to see her waiting patiently for him and the irritation turned to admiration. She was growing up. Letting a small smile cross his normally hard face, he caught up to her and nudged her forward. They both knew what this was for. Featherkit was now 6 moons old - time to be apprenticed. A purr rumbled through his throat. This little loner kitten was now time to be an apprentice in their clan. Featherkit didn't speak - but bounced the whole way there.
• k e s t r e l paw ... • // she-cat // apprentice // with Rabbitleap //
Kestrelpaw looked up from her meal, blue eyes glistening with curiousity. Then she noticed Nightshade and Featherkit, and realized he must be accompanying her to her apprentice ceremony, since she didn't have any kin in the clan. Gulping down one last bite, she rose to her creamy paws and shook out her pelt, giving her white chest a few licks before padding to the High Rock on silent, skilled paws. The same paws that could catch a forest of prey. Digging her claws into the earth as she walked, she flexed her back and shoulder muscles, feeling them ripple and her whiskers twitched. She spotted Rabbitleap, and trotted to him, tabby tail high. She positioned herself next to him. She watched Featherkit make her way to the front, and commented; "Now that's going to be sleeping with us." She was referring to the ball of firey, independent energy. Little did Kestrelpaw know that Featherkit would rival her own independance and cool attitude.
• t i g e r paw ... • // she-cat // apprentice // with Jayepaw //
Tigerpaw was just padding into camp with a mouse dangling from her jaws when she heard her leaders voice. Looking back at Jayepaw, she gave him a look to hurry and drop off his prey. She did so, and ran to the group of cats that was steadily growing. Her muscular and broad shoulders flexed as she sat down, well away from Kestrelpaw. She glanced at her and her lip twitched into a small hiss. She wasn't fond of the apprentice. She was always trying to show off at catching the most prey, had a slick attitude, and yet thought she was the most beautiful cat in the clan. Sure, she was pretty, but she didn't have to try and get every other tom after her. Soon she heard Jayepaw approaching behind her and turned her gold eyes to meet his.
• j a y e paw ...• // tom // apprentice // with Tigerpaw //
Jayepaw nodded and dropped his starling and vole off on the ever-growing pile. He ran after Tigerpaw, avoiding a collision with Sorrelpaw, the tortoiseshell apprentice. "Sorry!" He blinked his amber eyes, pushing forward to his sister once more. He glanced over his shoulder, watching her, then took off and disappeared in the growing mass of cats, settling next to Tigerpaw. He looked to her - his eyes mirrored hers, yet his slightly smaller figure set off the differences between him and his sister. His sister had a muscular build, while his was sleek and small. He was very light for a tom cat, and his back legs were extremely muscularr - but not to the point where it looked wierd. He flicked his smoky ears at her and turned his attention to Shadowstar twitching his white whiskers.
• f e a t h e r kit ...• // she-kit // kit // with Nightshade //
After she exited the den and waited for Nightshade, she made her way forward to the front of the clan and sat down. Inside, she was like a flame - cracking and bursting with excitement. She had been waiting for this day since she came into the clan, and was glad to get out of the nursery, however somewhat disappointed to leave her friend Ghostkit, and before Ashcloud had her kits. Sighing, she tried to relax her silver tabby fur and gave her chest a few quick licks, trying to look presentable. Of course, she did, but to Featherkit it wasn't enough. She leaned into Nightshade's dark fur as he joined her. She was so small, his large body looked massive against her own. When he was sitting, and she was as well, her head only barely readed his shoulders. She turned her blue eyes on Shadowstar's, waiting for this to begin.
