Miststripe
A small smile brightened his face for a split second, then Miststripe became serious again, but his amber gaze grew softer. Of course Swanpaw would want to fight, she's just an stubborn cat. "I say she goes with a small punishment. The fox had already gone away, and I know that this apprentice is good with her battle moves. She would have been able to protect herself."

Pinestar
The growl died in her throat as Swanpaw came out of the bushes, her blue eyes tightly closed. Pinestar's stare was not good if you upset her, the amber burned like fire in her eyes. Hearing Miststripe's reason, the she-cat's anger grew less, but her gaze was still icy. "What would your suggestion be, Milkfeather, Frozengaze?"

Milkfeather nodded, and winced as she tried to walk. Her shoulder had been mauled by that mangy, stupid fox. She looked at Miststripe incredulously. "I'm a fully grown warrior and I couldn't fight that thing," she mewed calmly, but there was ice in her words. She was burning with pain and he thought Swanpaw's indignation was funny? "She should be made to clean out the elders' den for half a moon to one moon." She licked a paw and drew it over one ear, green eyes shimmering with anger. "Honestly, look at my shoulder." It was a grizzly sight to behold.

"Can I please go along with you guys?"
Swanpaw pleaded, anger and anxiety mixing in her voice as she stared at them. She was willing to fight the fox if it took her a moon and a half of cleaning the elder's bedding. She drew one paw over the base of her face and crined as it singed and burned. She closed her eyes, hoping they would understand and let her go with them.

    Wildflower had been in her den all morning. Apparently, during all of the rainfall, the pool in the back of her den overflowed and got into parts of her herb storage. To her dismay, it had started a long time ago and molded almost a third of her supplies. She wasn't in a good mood to begin with. The dappled she-cat's ochroid fur shone in what little light could bounce off of it through the overcast sky as she padded into the center of camp, where Pinestar, Miststripe, Swanpaw, and Milkfeather were located. She winced as she saw what was happening, glad that no one could see her fear.

    Milkfeather's shoulder had been ripped open. Whatever fox had done it, they'd done what they'd set out to do—and maybe a bit more. The she-cat's soft, ecru fur was matted with dark brown blood. Clearly, she'd left some time for the wound to sit, and it wasn't pretty. Wildflower padded over to Milkfeather.
    "What happened to her?" asked Wildflower, amber eyes narrowing as she sat down and curled her tail around her paws. The stench of fox hit her like a boulder falling onto a kit from the sky, and she turned to Miststripe, who was also banged up. They both needed medical attention, although the scathe on Miststripe's flank was less severe than the mauling Milkfeather's shoulder had received. "I don't think anyone should be going after the fox until you're all much healthier, and more prepared," suggested Wildflower nonchalantly. Really, she was annoyed at the warriors' callous indifference to their injuries. For some reason, she wanted Swanpaw to help her heal them, but decided against asking the small apprentice.

    "You've already caught the scent of the fox, you know what it looks like, and I don't see a reason to go after it if you've scared it off—" Wildflower paused. "—even if it only ran back to its den," continued the young but wise medicine cat. She licked a paw and drew it over one ear. Did my marigold have anything on it? Not sure. Maybe some cobwebs for Miststripe, if there are any that aren't covered in that disgusting, syrupy dew. Wildflower fixed her gaze onto Pinestar before dipping her head and padding back to her den as quickly as possible. Her nose wiggled into her herb storage, disregarding everything covered in mold. I really have to clean this out. She stopped as she realized, with a sinking heart, that her marigold wasn't good anymore. There was a tiny patch of dry cobwebs, and then maybe a lick of goldenrod. She shuddered. But another scent caught her eye—or, maybe nose. Dock leaves!

    They would be perfect for Miststripe's scratch, and she could still patch up Milkfeather's wounds with her scanty supply of goldenrod. She felt her spirits lift, feeling suddenly light as a feather before she remembered how bad Milkfeather's shoulder had looked. Maybe all the matted blood is making it look worse than it is. She picked up the goldenrod, cobwebs, and two dock leaves in her jaws before bounding back to the circle to see if she'd missed anything.

    Milkfeather looked at Swanpaw. She wanted to say no, but the apprentice had yet to check with Miststripe and Pinestar. She disliked the apprentice's entitled attitude already. Milkfeather glanced over at Miststripe. What were you thinking, stupid furball? she wanted to hiss. In fact, at the moment all she fancied was to be by his side and make sure he was okay. She just wouldn't admit it to herself. Not that Milkfeather ever played hard-to-get. She hadn't been hurt badly in the past. She was just acting like a featherbrain.

    "Are you okay?" she mewed softly. The question was directed at Miststripe, who had a long scratch running down his flank. It was shallow and would heal to virtually nothing, but she couldn't help but be concerned for the cat she'd had a crush on since they were apprentices and she'd had "she-cat germs". She gingerly nosed Miststripe's shoulder, recoiling as she realized he didn't have a scratch there. The scent of plasma oozing from her own shoulder was making her other senses a bit boggy and hazy. She gave her chest a few embarrassed licks, returning her attention to Pinestar, although she let her tail rest momentarily on her paws before it swished around nervously like some kind of worm caught in the sun.

Miststripe
"I should be asking you that question... I'm fine." Pale amber eyes rested on the deep wound on Milkfeather's shoulder, even though the long scratch was mostly hidden by her creamy pelt, dark crusted blood and badly ruffled fur showed exactly where the fox had put it's claws. He felt a small nudge on his shoulder, and then he noticed that the cream she-cat looked embarrased, not this again... does she really like me? The tom managed an awkward smile, then turned his head to his own injury. Miststripe used his tongue to quickly flatten some of the gray fur around the cut, making it hard to see. With Wildflower fussing about Milkfeather's and his wounds, he thought about an appropriate punishment for Swanpaw. The she-cat was standing a little back from the group of older warriors, her head drooping.

Pinestar
Slightly dipping her head to the medicine cat, a drop of water suddenly splattered on the she-cat's muzzle. Her ears back, Pinestar looked up into the dark, cloudy sky, and was hit by another large drop. It was starting to rain again. It seems that the rain will never stop, we have been having so much of it. Good thing that Frozengaze had the apprentices check the dens for leaks yesterday, I don't feel up to having a soaked pelt while I sleep. Redirecting her gaze at the others, Pinestar suggested that they all return to their dens and rest, she would give Swanpaw her punishment when it cleared up.

{New character! Thought it would be fun to have another cat to RP with, updated form here.}

    Wildflower stared at Miststripe's scratch. "If you put some of this on it, it'll feel better," she mewed callously, nosing the dock leaves and cobwebs towards the tom before padding back to camp. She was tired and knew she needed to collect more herbs, but decided against it in case the fox was still around. Wildflower yawned loudly before nosing through the fresh-kill pile. She found only stale animals, nothing warm and nice for her to eat. Feeling cold and exhausted, she curled up in her itchy pine needle nest and fell fast asleep.

    Milkfeather nodded and began to walk back to camp. Her shoulder was still in pain, but other than that she felt fine.

Swanpaw padded toward the apprentice den, feeling heavy pawed and tired. Oh well, at least it was some adventure. she thought as she dragged her paws toward the apprentice den. The running and spying had wore her out and now, frankly, all she wanted to do was sleep. Pushing her way into the den, she moved her shoulders around to relax them as she lied down in her nest. Oh well, if I have to clean out the elder's den for five moons, maybe it was worth the experience. I did follow them without being spotted, for the most part, and that is something right?

{Does anyone want to have a prophecy cat?}

Sunflash
Sunflash was sitting down with his yellow tail laid neatly on his paws, staring up at the dark sky. As the group entered the camp, he calmly lowered his gaze to them, looking away as soon as his eyes found Swanpaw. Miststripe was not looking too good, the cream she-cat beside him was even worse, a long deep scratch covered her flank, and long dried blood made an ugly scar. Cloudy green eyes went toward Swanpaw again, and their eyes met for a second, but to the yellow tom, it lasted longer than that. He looked worried, all he wanted to do was to make sure she wasn't hurt. She didn't have an injury of any sort, but Sunflash couldn't help it, he liked this cat. Raindrops started to pelt his fur heavily, so he quickly got up from the clearing and briskly padded over to a sheltered area. A large bush's leaves were so thick that they made a roof, which kept the tom dry.

    Can I even eat? wondered Milkfeather. She groaned as it started to rain. "I'm taking a shrew," mewed Milkfeather. The cream-colored she-cat padded over to the fresh-kill pile and selected the cold, stale rodent from the very top. Some humans wondered what the difference between stale prey and fresh prey was. Imagine your mother bakes an enormous, herb-roasted, home-made-stuffing-inside turkey with a ring of mashed potatoes drizzled with gravy on the outside. She leaves it in the freezer until it's just on the brink. Then, she tries to feed it to you—frozen. That's a fairly good description of stale prey. However, Milkfeather wasn't one to waste a good shrew, stale or not.

    She took it into her den, brushing past Miststripe with an unparalleled exhaustion, and collapsed into her pine needle nest. Some of the needles got stuck in her usually soft and well-groomed fur. The she-cat's emerald eyes were faded with tiredness as she bit into the shrew.

    {{Yes, please! :) Thank you.}}

Swanpaw burried herself deeper in her mossy bedding and tried not to think about how Sunflash had been staring at her and not coming up to her like a normal cat. Not that she gave if time to say anything, but she was tired, what did anyone expect. Anyway, she might have just snapped at him anyway, unless her mood was good or he actually begins to talk to her more, but she thinks it would be highly unlikely, so she pushed the thoughts away for futher use so her brain could retire. She flicked her tail over her nose and paws, begining to fall into a deep sleep.

<< Poor Sunflash, it will take him a very long time for Swanpaw to start liking him back xD....if she does >_>.....this is where the "dun dun dun" comes in. No? Okay I will stop babbling now and go back to Rping....

EDIT: I forgot all about Troutpaw. -slaps fore-head. Working on his post right there!>>

When the warriors came in, along with his firey sister, his eyes went wide. Both of the warriors were wounded badly and it didn't just look like a small scratch either. He didn't really notice Sunflash staring at his sister, because he was just cheking for wounds, but none were fount. Shrugging, that was all he had wanted and really it didn't surprise him that she had snuck off tto find the fox. He wanted to ask if they were okay, but decided against it, because they might want their rest. "Huh, hope they chased the fox out." Troutpaw muttered as he watched the den his sister had slipped into.
