OasisClan V.2. ~ Not Accepting

Minnowstream quickly ran to camp. "Venomstar!" she cried. She rushed to her side and began to treat her with herbs.

Venomstar took what she was told but nothing seemed to be working. She grimaced as another wave of pain hit her.

[Shiverice]

Minnowstream closed her eyes. "Venomstar...you're dying." She sighed and laid next to her faithful leader. "I'm so sorry...I have been training the MarshClan medicine cat apprentice, Turtlepaw. She...she's going to be OasisClan's medicine cat. I have fallen in love with a rogue, and we have kits together. I'm leaving for GhostClan, where my family lays. I promise, I'm leaving you in good paws." Turtlepaw blushed and stood next to her former mentor.

Venomstar looked at her medicine cat. She felt betrayed that she didn't confide in her. Taking a painful breath she nodded. "I... forgive.... you." she whispered raggedly

Dawncatcher couldn't believe his ears when he heard Minnowstream's confession. He decided that if his aunt forgave her he wouldn't hold it against her. He understood not being with his family.

Minnowstream shut her eyes sadly. "To me you've been an aunt, a mentor of some sorts, a friend, and a leader. May you rest in EonClan forever."

Shaleshard watched her leader's death with sad eyes. "Oh, Venomstar." she whispered. "I'll never forget that time when you and Swiftheart worked together to save Grayspirit or how you became best friends with my daughter, Minnowflicker." A tear rolled down her cheek. "I wish you good hunting in EonClan."

Scalloppaw sat uncertainly outside of the den. "Oh, no! Venomstar can't die! Who will be leader? Vipertail's way too old! We need some new, fitter cat like Thrushbeak or Coconutsplash or Jetfrost to lead!"

Sandkit's words stung Fawnkit like a wasp's sting but she snarled after him and then raced off into the desert deciding she didn't care. She'd be cold, ruthless and she wouldn't care for any cat the way she cared for him or their siblings. Promising this to herself the little brown she-cat sniffed the air and caught the scent of rogues. Thinking this might be her only chance she headed for the border towards Marshclan territory as the haze in her green eyes cleared and was replaced by a strange ice making them glow eeriely.

Pinekit was so shocked he couldn't even move at first but then he realized that Fawnkit wasn't coming back. Fawnkit was gone. Realizing this made Pinekit feel strangely empty and he looked for Rosekit, only to find she too was confused. But first thing was first they needed to get Sandkit back.

Rafeal sat in the cave still even after those kits had gone. Hearing the sound of paw steps made the brown tom look up in surprise.

Frostflower was distraught as she looked around camp. "MY Kits! Their gone!" She wailed. She was tired...no more than tired. She was exhausted. Everytime she looked for them, she felt that same worry. That same fear that one of them would never come back.

Thistlekit awoke to his mother's wail and got to his paws worried. The white queen was gasping as though her heart had been wrenched from her chest and it scared him. "Help! Help! Frostflower needs help!" He wailed.

Duskfire was knocked off balance, Willowkit's black and white pelt just visible racing out of camp. "Why you...!" She toppled over, her vision going a little hazy for a moment before she realized she'd fallen into another cat. "Foxfang!" She exclaimed, trying to get his fur out of her mouth. She tried to get up but he was right ontop of her, his superior weight pinning her down, weather intentionally or not.

"Venomstar...I've received a message from EonClan. The deputy...the deputy has to be Coconutsplash before you die," Minnowstream meowed.

Vipertail dashed over to Venomstar's side. "Don't go!" she cried. "You were my friend when I had none, after I attacked Batstar. You didn't scorn me, or... Just don't go!" Vipertail lay down and sobbed. "I'll have no one left..." she whispered through her tears as she watched her oldest friend.
