Sunflare nodded at her words before turning back to Cedartail. "Do you want to come with me to see them?" he offered with a smile. "I don't think Creamflower will mind." He didn't want Cedartail to be lonely, and besides, he never passed up an opportunity to show off his kits to others, even if they had already seen them. But almost as soon as the words had left his mouth, Lynxfoot bumped into Cedartail and started snapping aggressively at him. "Lynxfoot, there's no need to be so rude, especially when you very obviously bumped into Cedartail," he huffed. He was normally very kind and polite, but he had little tolerance for unnecessarily rude cats. His pelt prickled when Cedartail began to stutter an apology. "And you have nothing to apologize for, Cedartail," he added to the tom. The two quickly made up though, and Sunflare just rolled his eyes. Cedartail was always nice--a little too nice. He thought Lynxfoot was lucky she had gotten mad at such a submissive tom, or else the fight might not have ended there. "I was just about to invite Cedartail to visit my kits in the nursery," he told Lynxfoot. "You're welcome to join, if you promise not to pick any more fights."

Almost instinctively, Tigerblaze headed for the collapsed tunnels. It wasn't anything anyone liked to think about, but the image of the ginger cat, torn apart and left just outside the entrance to one of the few tunnels that was still partially left in-tact, was still fresh in his mind. It was faint, but he thought he picked up a trace of the apprentice's scent, along with something stronger and more rank--fox. "Do you smell that?" he asked his apprentice.

Dustkit crawled closer to the long furry thing and batted at it once. It was soft, just like her mother. She looked at her brother, who looked displeased, and felt confused. He didn't seem to like it. Did that mean she shouldn't either?

"Well that's good." Southstar gave Streamspot a comforting lick on the ear. "Do you want me to get you water or anything?"

That's it? Frustration burned beneath Darkpaw's pelt. Deertail was going to say all of that and then give barely any reaction when Darkpaw said something back? "I just want to be a warrior already, that's all," he went on. "I want to be able to go out with my Clanmates when I please, without having to worry about getting someone's permission first. I'm trained enough as it is, and I'm sure you'd like to spend more time with your mate, so why don't you just talk to Southstar about it?"

Littleflower nodded. "That's fine by me." When they reached the lake, she turned to Mistflower and Swiftbadger. "We'll meet back here after we've hunted," she told them. "Good luck!" With a wave of her tail, she began to pad along the left side of the lake, beckoning for Quiverheart to follow. "Come on, Quiverheart!" she purred.

Nightwish nodded slowly, sympathy in her eyes. "I know," she murmured, letting her tail brush against him. "I'm sure Southstar will give you a new mentor soon. I think he just wanted to give you a chance...you know, to process things."

"I'll tell him I think we should do an assessment for you. But if he asks me if I think you're ready to become a warrior, I'll be honest with him - you're not. Cats don't usually become warriors at your age for a reason." Deertail did better now at masking his emotions, keeping his voice even. "Just remember with your assessment, I won't be going easy on you. If you think you're ready to be a warrior, when I assess your battle technique, you can spar with one. I'm sure Stagleap or Quiverheart can help with that. Just remember, I and Southstar will be watching."

He kept catching no scents that belonged to her, beginning to feel like maybe he did loose her. When the four cats moved into groups of two she glanced at the tom, finding herself a little nervous, she hadn't spent much time with Swiftbadger alone but it would be fine. She only felt nervous as she did have a small crush on him but she didn't think he would never return it. "Well we should avoid going to close to the twolegs, we don't need anyone else to get sick," she pointed out to the tom, mostly thinking out loud. "Perhaps we can try seeing if there are any prey in the forest before heading closer to the river."

Foxcloud blinked as she listened to her friend, she had heard of the place of no stars and them training warriors in the past. She didn't see why they would of wanted to take Daydream from them though. "You're a good warrior and a good medicine cat, no one judges you for not staying a warrior. Starclan leads us all in odd paths sometimes, look at Russetswirl for instense I never would of guessed he would of turned from medicine cat to elder to warrior and now he seems happy for the first time since my mother died." Plus him and Darkpaw seemed to be sparring tongues, she didn't want to get stuck in the middle somehow. She did however notice Frostpetal alone and slowly headed over to her. Russetswirl purred softly at the affection but shakes his head once. He tried to act like he had been doing this all his life but honestly was just unsure of himself always on any situation despite having the skills down that Acornspots had taught him. Maybe that's how any new warrior did feel though.

“Well, I hope,” She said shifting from paw to paw uneasily. “I can’t wait!” She said her eyes also twinkling.
