Lilac gasped when she saw none other than the legendary deer pokemon, Xerneas. Lilac quickly got out of the water, looking at the deer, her eyes filled with wonder.

The Pokèmon stared at the beams heading towards her way. She leapt forward with astounding speed, leaping over the water and the beams and landing in front of Gunner, standing over him.

Lilac quickly ran after the pokemon, "Gunner don't hurt it! It's a legendary!" Lilac looked at Gunner, searching his eyes for understanding. She was still in shock after what happened, and she didn't know what to do.

"I don't care if it's a legendary! It blinded me!" He started charging up Hydro Pump and Ice beam again.

The deer changed forward, bending down and ramming into Gunner with its antlers.

She turned around for a moment, then looked back at the monsters, analysing their movements. As one swung at her, she lept to the left and shot a Hyper Beam at it's weak point. "Yeah... Maybe let's get outta here."

Lilac knew what he was going to do, Lilac quickly ran over to the legendary, but she was too late. The legendary rammed Gunner with it's horns, Lilac felt her eyes go bright purple, "DO NOT HURT MY FRIENDS!" Lilac got a leaf tornado ready, sending it directly at the legendary, then put up a light screen, getting ready if the legendary would attack her.

Xerneas leapt up, standing elegantly on a rock jutting out of the volcano. "It seems your friend tried to hurt me." Her blue eyes stared at Lilac. "I was simply protecting myself. A fight he wants, a fight he gets."
