Once on the shore, Herringpaw paused and waited, the water almost uptol his neck.

Mapleshadow nodded and passed Ripplestripe, jumping forward onto a solid branch. She followed the scent best she could, jumping through the trees towards a large group of hills that sat in the distance.

Cornfur laughed, looking at the two apprentices. "I'm keeping my eye on you two." He joked, splashing some water at them with his paw.

Beechpaw dropped down beside him. Because she was a bit younger and, as a result, smaller, than Herringpaw, the water nearly reached her muzzle if she didn't hold it up, and so she felt rather uncomfortable. "Are you happy we came back?" she asked. Though it may have sounded sarcastic to some, what with being soaked in water and all, it was an honest question.

(Tidestar is leading her Clanmates to safety, Foxtalon went to look for Ripplestripe and Mapleshadow, and Seabreeze went to look for Herringpaw and Beechpaw.)

Ripplestripe followed her at a close distance. TideClan's scent was growing stronger, but he said nothing, for he didn't want to get his or Mapleshadow's hopes up if it turned out that their Clanmates were already far away. After all, even if they had left only very recently, one could travel at great speeds when danger was chasing them.

"Beechpaw!" Seabreeze called, searching high and low as he bounded through the trees. "Herringpaw! Can you hear me? Say something!"

(Are Herring and Beech on the same shore that Tidestar and the others are heading to, or a different one?)

Salmonfall gave her apprentice a gentle good-natured nudge, a purr rising from her throat as she stood beside Tidestar. "Whoa! Cornfur! Look!" She gasped, looking across the ocean from the top of the hill.

Yay!! And yes, they're heading in the same direction and shore that the clan had earlier traveled in, but Seabreeze could find them.]

"Sort of," Herringpaw responded, licking Beechpaw's cheek encouragingly.

Clifftail made his way to Purpleflower. "We need to talk," he meowed quietly, taking a deep breath.

Beechpaw's face screwed up with confusion when Herringpaw licked her cheek. "What are you doing?" she asked, eying him warily. The she-cat simply shook her head and wiped her cheek with a paw, then went on: "Anyway...I still think we should have kept going. We're only gonna be apprentices once you know, and hurricanes are really rare, aren't they? I doubt we'll get to experience another one during our apprenticeship. This was our only chance to go on a real, dangerous adventure by ourselves before we become warriors! You know, with hurricanes involved. But then again, I don't know how long hurricanes usually last. Do they go on for days? Maybe we can still have our hurricane adventure as apprentices! It might not be as good as the first, I mean...you can never step in the same ocean twice, you know? But I bet we'll still have fun! Especially if we actually get to complete that adventure without running away first. And if we can't, well..maybe something else will happen, like an earthquake or a wildfire...Hmm..." Before long, she had completely spaced out and was lost in thought over all the different types of adventures they could have. Only when she heard a loud, familiar voice calling her name did she finally snap back to reality. "...Beechpaw! Herringpaw!" The voice was drawing nearer. "Herringpaw! Beechpaw! Herringpaw! Beechpaw!" Less than a minute later, Beechpaw looked up to see none other than Seabreeze perched above them in the trees. "There you two are!" the light blueish-gray warrior meowed. "I've been looking all over for you! Are you alright? Can you climb? Hurry up here!"
