Cloudsong's head shot up at the scent of a pigeon. Lowering herself, she stalked silently toward it. Cloudsong readied her hind legs to leap, then lunged at it, swiftly killing it with a quick blow to the neck.

Ivycloud smiled at Kestrelclaw and Sootpaw.

Sootpaw quickly scented something.He crept away from them and saw a rabbit at the base of a tree.He started chase and pounced on it but before he could kill it it got out of his grip.He huffed and sat down.He scented a squirrel.He looked around and spotted it nibbling on a nut at the base of another tree.He dropped into then hunters crouch,and when he was close enough he pounced and delivered a killing bite.He picked up the squirrel and carried it back to Ivycloud "Here,you guys can eat this,I'm going to hunt for more" He looked up at the sky and thanked starclan for his catch.Then he dipped his head and bolted through the woods.

Ivycloud looked after Sootpaw. "When is Sootpaw's assessment?" Ivycloud asked Kestrelclaw.

Sootpaw padded proudly back to Ivycloud and Krestelclaw with 2 squirrels and a chipmunk."You think this is enough?"

"Nice one!" Batfang purred as he finished burying his chipmunk. "Go ahead and bury your catch there, and we'll see if we can hunt a bit more before we head back to camp." Even though he knew that the Clan would have more than enough to eat, it wasn't every day that prey was so plentiful, and Batfang was enjoying every second of it. Plus, Cloudsong was a fun hunting partner, if a little daring sometimes. He didn't want their fun to end so soon. Sticking his nose in the air, Batfang detected a faint, bird-like smell in the distance. Yes, it was certainly a bird, but he couldn't quite tell what kind. "Come this way," he instructed Cloudsong as he followed his nose.

"His next one'll be in just a few days," Kestrelclaw replied proudly. "An' his final assessment'll be when he's 12 moons old, 'bout four moons from now. Might add another in between those too, but we'll see." When Sootpaw returned with his load of prey, Kestrelclaw meowed delightfully and cuffed his apprentice playfully over the ear. "You sure are one crackerjack of a hunter, aren'tcha?"

Pebblepool yawned softly as she made her way out into the clan's territory, she shook out her gentle silver pelt carefully before she started off in search of some prey. She knew the apprentices would be out today with their mentors doing hunting of there own, but she wanted to see if she could bring back some extra prey herself.

Specklepelt got up and said her good bye to Pebbleface, she padded out after Pebblepool "Wait up! I will come with you."

Ivycloud nodded and smiled.
