Falconpaw nodded and slowly followed Pale-Eye out of camp with a yawn. A tuft of hair flicked out on his shoulder, and he licked it down quickly before the she-cat noticed and gave him a full wash-down again. With a sigh, his eyes flicked about the forest, from leaves rustling to small birds singing in the chilly morning air.

Pale-eye took a deep breath and continued to pad in the direction of the training hollow. She stiffened, scenting a delicious, fat wood pigeon. She gestured with her tail for him to be quiet.

[Shiverice]

Turtle woke up in an unfamiliar place. She was cold, wet, and very hungry. As her vision began to get more clear, she saw that she was in a dark forest. She stood up and shook the water droplets off of her soft fur. She let out a small mewl for help. Where was her mom? Where were her sisters?

[Angry.Jackal]

Falconpaw perked his ears and quieted his stomping footsteps, but it wasn't the wood pigeon he had heard. It was what sounded like a young kit. "Did you hear that?" He whispered, but Pale-Eye was probably intent on catching the pigeon. Instead of waiting for her reply, he snuck off to find the source of the mewling.

Pale-eye stuck out her foot to trip Falconpaw. This was her subtle way of showing him to stay. She wiggled her haunches. The fat feathered fowl was perched on a low-hanging branch; Pale-eye's muscles coiled and all at once she leaped high, tackling the bird as it flew and crashing to the ground with it, biting its throat.

Falconpaw heard the pigeon's last cry as he picked himself up off the ground. "So much for a clean pelt," He muttered, giving his fluffy white chest a few unappreciative licks. He glanced up at his mentor's kill, and mumbled, "Nice catch."
