The tom decided to keep his mouth shut and followed quietly after BlizzardClaw. He couldn't help but pray to Starclan that BearPaw was alright so the deputy didn't break down. He knew BlizzardClaw was already a nervous wreck and he could only imagine what the tom would be like if they did find BearPaw injured.

She was tired from dragging BearPaw all the way to her home but she had no plans on sleeping since she felt the need to keep an eye on her. She couldn't help but wonder what happened to the younger she-cat to get herself in such condition but she decided she'd be able to ask once BearPaw had some rest.

Robinwind nodded. "That's a good sign, if everyone is still healthy." He turned his gaze to Dappleleaf as they neared the stream. "I don't think it's thick enough ice to walk on. I wouldn't try it, last thing we need is someone falling in." He then listened to Ivypaw's request. He was a bit surprised, but he nodded. "Of course it's fine," he said, "And Dappleleaf would be a good cat to ask." He didn't have the slightest clue on how to fish, especially if the water was so cold. He didn't like the thought of wet paws. "It's a good skill to know." He said to Ivypaw.

"I'm not sure when Bearpaw left." Elmshade said to Lostnight. "It must have been before Blizzardclaw woke up, since he said he hadn't seen her either." She could feel worry bubbling up in her pelt, but shook her head. Bearpaw was a smart apprentice, she wouldn't have thought she could take on a fox by herself. If it had seen her, she must have run. "Let's keep going, hopefully we can find her. Or one of the other search groups." She padded on, at one point picking up on Bearpaw's scent for just a moment, but ended up by the stream, no sign of it left. She turned to Lostnight. "I have no idea where she could be. But she's not here. Do you think we should go back and tell Blizzardclaw?"

Poppykit stopped crying when Creamflower licked him, and he started purring instead. He saw Dustkit get up and go over to something, so he rolled away from his mother to investigate as well. He sniffed at the thing Dustkit was looking at and scrunched up his nose, not liking the unfamiliar scent.
