Ardeli strolled around the marsh, sniffing the air. She smelt other kelpies. Walking along the shore of a small lake, she poked her head into the foliage.

He looked down in the water and saw a small crab,it was trying to dig in the white sand."So how long have you been in the herd for?"he asked looking back up and at her.

Ana glaced out on the open sea and smiled when he asked.
"For about a year more or less.. But I almost recognize my herdmates when I see them, your lucky you even got to hear my voice.. for some reason, I feel I can be more open to a stranger loner to a herdmate.." she said thoughfully and sighed.
"How long have you been around?" she asked with a soft tone in her voice.
The wind made her man blow over on the other side and she shook her head and neck to fix it again.

Chase could feel the wind through his mane as it blew it back."I havent been around too long"he said still thinking"i was in a herd before but then something happened and i had to leave"he said looking down remembering what happened. The memory sickend him so he just shook his head trying to forget it. When he finally let the thought go he raised his had back up and smiled"so is this herd a good one?"he asked. He wasnt very interested in it but it would b nice to know if they ever saw him if they would run him off or not.
