Sleetpaw smiled, standing up and walking toward the entrance. "Yay!" He cheered quietly, stopping at the entrance. His fur was fluffed out like it usually was and his icy blue eyes were shining with delight. I'll do great, watch me do it well Grandfather!" The young apprentice purred. He had always thought his Grandfather was a StarClan cat... not a Dark Forest cat.

Sprucepaw's ears pricked forward at the sound of a panicked yowl that echoed through camp. Fear blossomed inside of her. What in StarClan was happening. Worried, the tiny she-cat darted out of the medicine cat den, searching for the cause of the sound. Blinking, she spotted Sunclaw, standing near the camp entrance and looking as if she'd run for her life. She also appeared to be hurt, Sprucepaw could see blood dripping across her pelt. Horrified, they young apprentice raced over, teal eyes glowing with alarm. "Sunclaw!" She gasped out. "What happened?"

Raccoonstrike padded along the well-beaten path of the camp's entrance. His tail swung from side to side, his ears pricked and his chartreuse gaze calm as it drifted over his surroundings. He sauntered fully into the clearing, nose twitching. He was in a rather good mood at the moment, though he was unsure why. He supposed it was just the nice weather of new-leaf. With the sun shining through the leaves and a gentle breeze, he couldn't help but feel mildly euphoric. Just carefree, padding along.
The mottled tom froze as he nudged into something--or, someone, as it was a cat. Blinking and stepping back with slight surprise, he recognized Desertbloom. "Oh! M-my apologies." He stammered, jolted out of his reverie.

Sunclaw bent over, panting. "Moonshade... injured... by the stream... rogues... Morningdove dead...." she coughed, struggling to regain her breath. "Can't... move... need... warriors..." She straightened up, taking a deep breath.

Desertbloom stumbled back, slightly bewildered, then smiled nonchalantly. "Dont worry about it, Racoonstrike," she answered in a kind tone. "I was just leaving the nursery. Have you seen Patchface's kits? Theyre quite cute," she added with a purr, a rare occurrence.

Wolfpelt shifted restlessly in the elders den and groaned quietly. He couldnt seem to fall asleep. He slept far too much these days. But honestly, what else was there to do? His denmates were a drag. He turned to their most recent addition, Hailstorm. "Nice day today," he began in a gruff voice, once bright eyes dull and aged though the color stayed as shocking as the day he opened his eyes.

Sprucepaw's eyes grew round as moons as she listened to Sunclaw's exhausted panting. Shock jolted through her mind, for a moment she was frozen. Morningdove was dead? She trembled slightly, then realized she was wasting time...Moonshade must be helped. "Y-yes!" She stammered, tail twitching. "We'll find her!" Her voice rose with worry, and she stumbled back. Should she go to Duckpond first? Or gather warriors to find Moonshade? Such a heavy decision rested on her. Sprucepaw blinked. At the least, she should get Sunclaw to the medicine cat den, and then ask Duckpond to find Moonshade while she treated the young warrior. "Here..." She supported Sunclaw's weight, trying to help lead her to the den.

Raccoonstrike blinked warmly at her. Thankful for her change of subject, he pricked his ears. "Oh!" He exclaimed brightly, his tail shooting straight up. "I haven't!" He shot a glance to the nursery entrance, then returned his gaze to Desertbloom. Slightly surprised at her purr, he shrugged his shoulders. "I'll go do just that." He nodded his head towards the nursery, then slipped past the she-cat and inside the dimly-lit den. He made out the shape of Patchface, and the five tiny kits that lay at her stomach. A smile curled up his muzzle, and he gazed happily down at the kits. "They're beautiful." He let out a soft purr as he looked up at Patchface.
