Leafkit heard another cats voice, then he said " M-My legs hurt! I want my mom!" He wailed, setting his head down. He was starting to get tired. He started bobbing his head, trying to stay awake, but eventually dosed off.

Sunpaw heard the commotion, then she dashed out of the den. She immediately started sniffing, picking up Pikefang's scent, then started to follow. She sniffed, then saw large and small paw prints, guessing Pikefang was trying to follow Leafkit. She heard wails, then they died down to a long silence. She ran as fast as she could to the scene, finding Pikefang, but no Leafkit. She saw a hole, then carefully looked down, seeing Leafkit, who was breathing shallowly. She said " We need to get him out of there. If any bones are broken, we need to get it fixed. I'll climb down, and then I'll start picking Leafkit up, then pass him to you. I need you, Pikefang, to carefully set him down in a some-what dry spot, ok?" Without waiting for answer, she started to climb her way down, using her claws to grip. She soon made it down to Leafkit, then sniffed him. There was a small scent of blood, but the biggest concern was broken bones. She carefully picked the kit up, starting to climb her way up, which was difficult. She was able to pass him to Pikefang, as she tried to climb back up the rest of the way.

Pikefang opened his maw to say no way he was letting her down there, but Sunpaw was already climbing down. The senior warrior gritted his teeth. A few days without food, grieving and mess had wore down his temper. But he wouldn't blow, not with this kit at stake. The large brown tom nodded, but knew it was basically meaningless as Sunpaw was already down there and wouldn't see it. "I know how to pick up a kit," Pikefang muttered lowly to her order. Just because I'm a big warrior doesn't mean I don't know how to hold a kit. And what happened to a little respect nowadays... Regardless of his temper, the senior warrior peered into the hole, his jade eyes flashed worriedly; he received the sleepy Leafkit with gentleness that seemed foreign for one as large as he. The tom gently sat Leafkit within snatching range on a tiny pile of moss, before turning and offering his bushy tail for Sunpaw to grab in case she needed it.

Stonekit was curled tightly in the corner of his nest. He was aware his mother's scent and warmth had grown stale, and he was instead aware of another scent. Who was this queen? Where was his mother? He squirmed and squeaked, trying to locate his mother. Where had she gone? When will she come back? He began crying for her.

[Knuckles the Echidna]

Maplekit could hear his brother mewling, and answered with a weak growl. His eyes hadn't opened yet, and he wasn't about to start talking, but he could hear everything going on around him. So far he had gathered that his sister's eyes were a bright green, and that his mother's were a pale green. He could also hear his siblings mewling all the time, and he was a bit sick of that being all he heard.

RabbitKit
She looked over at StoneKit, giving him a light nudge."Don´t worry. Mommy will be back soon." She meowed staring at her brother.

PatchedPelt
She quickly nodded before running off back to the nursery to look for LeafKit. She searched carefully between the stones, dens and everywhere. Yet no sign of her beloved kit.

RavenStar
As she was leading the way back to Camp, she could hear mewling. The leader lightly opened her mouth to get a scent of the surrounding. She could smell blood. Quickly, she turned to look towards WindTail."WindTail, come with me." She meowed and began to hurry off after the scent, followed by the medicine cat.

[Nebelung]

Stonekit's cries quieted down. That was Rabbitkit, wasn't it? He sought out her scent through his other siblings' and the scent of the nursery. Once he found it, he crawled towards it and snuggled against her for warmth.

Antlerclaw quietly entered camp, his pawsteps heavy. He was quite exhausted. However, he heard Ravenstar's alarmed voice and he paused, scenting the air. Blood? He looked about camp, spotting Patchedpelt frantically making her way about camp in search of something. He trotted over.
"Patchedpelt, what happeneed?"

Sunpaw
She picked up the small kit, carefully, then started to slowly make it to camp. She heard the cats from the Gathering coming back, then she remembered Windtail would be there. She let out a sigh of relief, then before she knew it, she was at camp. She said " Windtail! Batpaw! It's Leafkit!" She made it inside the medicine den, then sat the kit down on some moss. She sighed, then got the sticks and bindweed, setting them to the side. She had never treated broken bones, and she didn't know what to do. If she tried to fix the situation, then she would just make it worse. She looked around, seeing the kits breathing getting a little bit stronger. He's waking up. She thought.

Leafkit
He was getting ready to wake up, and before his eyes were even open, he felt a pain he thought would never be possible. He groaned, then tried to sit up, but was set back down by Sunpaws tail.

PatchedPelt
"LeafKit. He´s missing." She meowed quickly to AntlerClaw before seeing SunPaw pad past him with LeafKit."LeafKit!" She meowed and quickly followed after SunPaw into the medicine cat.

WindTail
Seeing SunPaw with LeafKit, he quickly followed after her. Once LeafKit was placed into a nest, he began to check the kits paws. Giving the nudge to all four paws, he detected that the back right paws broken, and the left one badly bruised. He applied horsetail carefully to both legs before placing a stick against the right paw. He used the bindweed to keep the stick in place before tieing both paws together with cobwebs.

Grainclaw hurried back into camp, then into the nursery. She hadn't been away from her kits for that long, but every moment away from them felt like it was forever, and she was worried that something might have happened to them. She sighed as she saw them all laying there, alone. "Where's Patchedpelt?" She thought aloud, settling back into the nest with her kits.
