"I cannot do that. He has gone to run in the fields of Starclan." She chokes on a tear. "Back to sleep." She orders sadly.

"Can I go see him in StarClan? Maybe we can practice battle moves there!" she mews still trying to wake him up. "Why cant you wake him up?" she asked.

Redfeather sighs. "No, sweetie. Starclan is where you go when you..." Redfeather couldn't do it. She didn't have the strength to explain to this kit what Starclan was at that moment. "When you die. Okay? That's your lesson for the day. Now let's go back to bed." She meows quietly.

Snowkit knew what to die meant. She stopped trying to wake him up. She walked into the nursery den with her head hung low. Tears formed near her eyes as she walked to the corner of the den. She got there and started quietly crying. But you promised me.. You said you would never let me down. You said when I was an apprentice you would be my mentor. We would fight together and hunt together. Why StarClan?! I can no longer trust you StarClan. Why did he join you? Couldn't it be later? Her heart was shattered.

Redfeather followed Snowkit into the nursery. She walked over to her kits and was about to curl up with them when she realized Snowkit was curled up in the corner crying. My kits are asleep. They won't notice if I slept with Snowkit tonight. Redfeather padded over to where Snowkit was curled up and layed down beside her. Redfeather soon fell asleep.

[Wolf Howls]

Mousestar yowled. "MistClan retreat!" he yowled. All of the warriors hurried to their border. Blood was spilling as they ran. "The battle is over!" Hollystar yowled starting to lead everyone back to camp.

"We won!" Willowfur mewed as they were walking back to CloudClan. "I heard 4 MistClan warriors died!" she said.

"Great." Hollystar purred.

Sunstripe heard Snowkit. She padded over to her and Redfeather. "Listen Snowkit. I feel even worse than you. But I know just as well as you do that we can't mourn a cat's death forever. You're lucky he wasn't your own kin. Tufttail was my brother. My heart has been shattered as I watched the rise and fall of his flank stop. He may not be here, but he's up there." Sunstripe pointed to a sky filled with stars. "He's with the rest of my family. He watches over you right now, protecting you." Sunstripe daren't say of his confessions. "Just Snowkit, don't tell anyone. Redfeather knows, but not a single other kit or cat." Sunstripe looked at the kit, her eyes full of sympathy. "May these words be spoken before my brother. Snowkit do you promise to choose the loyal path, for me, for Tufttail?"

Tiny- The small she cat walked through the forest, her eyes bright until she spotted some wounded cats ...she jumped and suddenly ran blindly through the forest , tripping over a root and falling into a strange clearing full of cats. She flattened her ears and backed away
