Silvermist beamed at her apprentice. "Great job!" She said, admiring the plumpish bird Birchpaw held between her jaws. After two successful catches, Silvermist guessed all the other prey would've run off, if there was any left! She debated whether to pratice some battle moves or head home but came to the conclusion that Birchpaw didn't need anymore fight training. Her paws pulled her upwards and she gestured towards camp before picking up her mouse and padding away.

Sandpaw glanced warily at the newcomer as he explained about Treekit. She kept her blazing green eyes glued to him. But when he spoke about joining Airclan, she relaxed slightly, realising he wasn't about to attack camp. The ginger she-cat knew she had nothing better to do as he mentor didn't seem to be around so she watched Pebblepelt greet his kit. She groomed her fur slightly as her pelt lit up like a flame in the sunlight.

☞HAWKFROST compacted his long stride to match Jaysong's wanting to strike at the exact moment that the older tom did in order to ensure the badger's unbalancing. As the warrior beside him left the ground, the strong ginger tom pushed off with his hind legs, ramming his shoulder into the creature's hip as Jaysong collided with the shoulder. The large cat could practically feel the force of their crash rippling through his bones but he pushed onwards, driving his claws into the hardened earth beneath the snow in order to anchor himself against the heavier predator. Rearing up in his back legs, Hawkfrost dealt steady blow after steady blow at the badger's weakened hip until he felt it buckle beneath him. The muscled young warrior leapt out of the way as the mangepelt came crashing down, narrowly missing its crimson stained claws.

☞CROWPAW followed his mentor with his eyes as she retrieved a vole, opting to consolidate their prey in the same hole. The dark tabby dropped his kill beside Swiftstar's before covering it with a light layer of snow and dirt. The young tom watched on with interest as his leader eyed the tree, curious as to whether or not she'd attempt to hunt the bird that lay somewhere amongst its branches. Figuring he'd leave her to whatever choice she made, the large maine coon returned to the task set before him. Crowpaw glanced out across the tree line towards the moor, hoping to spot any sings of rabbit skittering about. Disappointed when no flashes of white or gray caught his eye, the apprentice huffed crossly and opted to remain in the forest, checking on the moor occasionally. Murky eyes alert, he slithered through the forest quietly, jaws parted.

☞ASPENCLOUD allowed his tail to rest soothingly on Silverpaw's shoulder as he watched onwards with tense silence. Amber eyes concentrated and lean muscles ready, the deputy waited impatiently for the time to strike. There! "Now! Remember the stomach and watch the claws!" he growled out, shooting from behind the tree as the badger toppled to the ground. The longer they waited, the more their window of opportunity would close. Not wanting to waste a moment, the sleek black tom thrust himself down into the clearing, tearing up the snow behind him as he hurtled towards the creature's face. Claws unsheathed and glinting in the weak leafbare sun, the black warrior dropped heavy blows aimed expertly at its eyes and throat. Aspencloud remained cautious around the jaws, keeping himself constantly moving. The badger, clearly desperate and angry, snapped upwards, catching the deputy off guard with its sudden strength. The lithe tom let out a grunt of pain as he felt teeth meet his upper hind leg, his claws instinctively landing on the badger's only good eye until it was completely blinded. Panting, the tom leapt back as the creature roared with pain, letting go of his leg. The deputy glanced at the rest of his patrol, gathering his strength before returning to the onslaught.

☞BIRCHPAW huffed slightly from the effort, beaming proudly nonetheless as Silvermist congratulated her on the kill. "Thank you." she mewed gratefully, always rather humble about her achievements. The fluffy apprentice watched her mentor with careful blue eyes, head tilted curiously to the side as she awaited their next course of action. As the older gray she-cat returned to her paw, the younger pale cat rose to her own dainty paws and snatched up her pretty blue prize between her jaws. Birchpaw trailed loyally behind her mentor, her paws crunching lightly in the snow as they headed for home.

Swallowpaw collapsed in a drift of snow letting all his doubts flow back in to his mind. He gazed at the pale sky dotted with puffs of clouds here and there. He let out a long sigh. The entire clan sees me mooning over Sandpaw. He closed his eyes. I bet they think I'm a no-good tom who just wants to get what he wants. I don't think Hawkfrost is too fond of me either. I bet i'm a burr caught in Sandpaw's pelt, who'd want to be friends with a cat like me anyways?

Skypaw's gaze burned into Treekit's so called "Dad"'s pelt. How could this cat come strolling into camp and claim that Treekit is his daughter? She darted to Bramblewhisker who was walking back to the medicine den. "What if he takes her away?" She urgently mewed through clenched teeth, attempting to keep her voice low. Skypaw didn't think she was being overprotective about the kit at all. "Can we just leave him unguarded in camp?" She padded alongside him.
