Thornkit’s eyes lit up, and he tried to pounce at his mother’s tail. He closed his eyes as he did so, and was startled as he landed on hard ground instead of his mom’s soft fur. In his moment of shock, he flopped over, and his fur fluffed up. As he heard his mother’s light laugh, he got up, and his fur rippled with embarrassment.
