made the whole thing real. it finally hit the young
apprentice. he had to live in the moment. smokepaw
realized this when thinking about how unexpected
eaglepaw's death was. it could happen to anyone.
he stared down at his paws, thinking.

Jungle looked for Kisa for a moment before she ran back to her twolegs. The small one was crying and as soon as she saw Jungle she called her over and the cat jumped into her arms purring. The bigger twoleg rubbed Jungle's head.

Ace eyed the she-cat, nervously. He had no idea what was going on and he didn't know who to trust and who he should be careful with.

Snowpaw
Snowpaw walked slowly over to the area where Eaglepaw's body was. She sat down a few tail lengths away from the body. It was too young for him to die, he hasn't even gotten his warrior name.

Mousenose looked at Eaglepaw. "So young..."

Jungle was taken back to the car with the smaller twoleg by the big one. She was Peter the whole way to the vet. By the time she was there, she was sleeping soundly still purring.

Lightningstar padded over to Eaglepaw and sat down. He was only an apprentice... It wasn't his time to die yet... he thought with sadness. The last words Eaglepaw said to him was when Eaglepaw was in StarClan. I hope I didn't fail you... the leader remembered him saying. No Eaglepaw... I failed you... I should've been able to save you, but I didn't.

"My name is Hushpad, I'm a medicine cat." She examines the kits face, glad the scratch wasn't too deep or bleeding heavily. It made her sick to think someone would attack a cat no older than Eaglepaw was, right over is body no less. "If you come with me I can help treat your wounds."

Blizzardpaw, now Blizzardstripe, followed what Falconwing had done and licked the leader's shoulder and then steeped of to the side where Falconwing was sitting for the time being. He bristled with pride as he heard his new name chanted by the clan as well. Though watched as Lightingstar launched himself down from high rock and moved Eaglepaw's body to the center of camp, then jumping back up onto high rock. He dipped his head, finding it sad how Eaglepaw had died. His time was too soon. Then hearing Lightingstar say it was time to sit vigil, as he and Falconwing would have to sit vigil at the entrance of camp all night long, silently.

Falconwing was proud of Brizzardstripe as well. Knowing he had gotten a good warrior name as well. Which watched as Blizzardstripe padded over to where she was. Not mind him sitting with her, for the time being. Though she too watched as Lightingstar had jumped down from high rock and moved Eaglepaw's body to the center of camp. Then launched himself back up onto high rock. Her head dipped and her gaze went downwards as Eaglepaw's time to go to Starclan was too soon. Though all she could do what hope that he was accepted among their ranks and living happily now. She heard Lightingstar say it was time to sit vigil, as she and Blizzardstripe would have to sit vigil at the entrance of camp all night long, silently.

Dreampaw listened as the leader announced Eaglepaw's death. It made all of it real, not that Eaglepaw had just knocking out cold because of the hit on the head. Though that wasn't it, he was dead. Though the young apprentice looked down towards her paws, realizing one thing. That this could of happened to anyone, any of the other apprentices or even the warriors. With Eaglepaw's death being unexpected for one thing, though she could help wondering if something else could happen to one of the other apprentices or warriors. Her gaze stayed downward towards her paws, as her ears dropped a little too. Was StarClan punishing them for something then had done? She couldn't be sure.

"Uh... Alright..." Ace meowed, looking at Kisa and then back at Hushpad.
He got up and glanced at the cats in the clan apparently holding a " vigil" for the cat who had died.

Jungle woke up wheen she was in the vet's waiting room. She hissed and realized she had a leash on. A dog saw her a barked. He put his nose up to her and she yowled. Jungle scratched the dog twice before the small two leg, which I'm now calling Maddie, pulled her to her chest. The larger one, which I'll call mom, petted my back.
