Blackpaw made it back to camp and then went to the medicine cats den, hoping, a little selfishly, that she had been the first one there. She was oblivious to the passing of one of their clanmates, she gad been so focused on recieving trearment after all.

Redfeather glumly padded outside the nursery hearing Snowkit meowing. "Snowkit… he's not sleeping."

"Is he pretending to sleep then? Oh I know he is resting his limbs from battle!" Snowkit said still trying to wake him up. "Wake up!" she mewed. "Why wont he wake up? He promised to teach me a battle skill!" she mewed.
