((ok, so a timeskip? I'll post in a sec, I gotta review my characters XD))

I have nothing to live for, Finchclaw thought in depression, as he once more stared at the crashing sea below. No love, no kits, not even an apprentice. My mother doesn't need me anymore. I'm grown, and I can make my own choices. Little did he know that his apprentice had just been elected in his absence. He inhaled, then exhaled. As much as he tried to jump, his body wouldn't move. His claws clenched the ground hard, making a small river of sand slither off the edge. I tried to kill my own siblings. This world doesn't need anymore murderers like me. The water seemed to swirl angrily for him, reaching hard with each bellow to grab him and hold him under till his death.

Dolphinleaf laid Palmbreeze down in the new medicine den while she added the finishing touches. She built it how she would've made it: a wide room for several patients, an entrance of vines, and in the back of the room, a stash of assorted herbs. The ground was cushioned with moss and the walls were made of mud, dried hard with sand. It was placed under the shade of a calm, swaying palm tree, and a turtle-length underground, protected from the sun. "I need you to stay down, Palmbreeze," she commanded.

Palmbreeze did as she was told and laid there as still as possible. "Dolphinleaf," she asked, "where do cats go when they die?"

Dolphinleaf grabbed a dead sea cucumber and placed it in front of her sister. "To StarClan, of course. Eat this." She nudged the sea cucumber closer.

Palmbreeze rolled over and reluctantly stared at the lumpy orange thing. She looked at Dolphinleaf with a look of humor, but seeing her serious face, she took a bite. The foul juices spread through her mouth, and her tongue became numb. She choked for a second, then spat up.

Dolphinleaf laughed at her. "That'll clean up any spread of infection in your stomach. Now..." She began to search for her small stash of herbs. Most of the supplies had been washed away by the storm, but there was still enough for now. Finally, she struggled to bring over a short stalk of sugarcane. "Gnaw on this for a while," she meowed, dropping the sweet stick. "It should help you gain your sanity."

Palmbreeze licked it hesitantly, then began happily chewing it, the delicious sugar making up for the regretful sea cucumber.

Lightningpaw looked around for his mentor. Where's Finchclaw?

Crystalnose saw a tom on the edge of a cliff... Finchclaw. The young she-cat padded up to him. "What's wrong?" She asked.

Moonpaw looked around, wondering where Wavesplash, her mentor, was. She hadn't seen her for a while now, and they had barley started training.

Wavesplash stood at the edge of camp. She sighed softly.
