The little Siamese cat was startled as he complimented her but, of course, he'd finished it off with a threat.
"I'm not a kittypet anymore," Mia declared. She wasn't going to be afraid of this cat. Not like before. She sat down abruptly and curled her tail over her paws, staring at the tom with her round blue eyes. Of course, the blue collar she usually wore was still there..."Ehr...not really. My housefolk, well, they left. I don't think they're...coming back. So...I guess I'm kinda like you now. A forest cat." She tilted her head when she looked at him inquisitively. He seemed such a harsh cat on the outside. She didn't know much about him, but 'Solsticetalon' certainly seemed to have plenty of experience being a forest cat. If he wasn't so aggressive, maybe he could teach her. But she wasn't on friendly terms with him yet, that was for sure.

Solsticetalon stared at her for a few seconds then suddenly burst out laughing and fell on the floor, when he was finally finished he got back up. "You....you, think your anything near a 'forest cat'? First of all we are called clan cats and second of all you can only be a true one if your born in the forest. "He said with an amused tone.

Volantstar sighed, they couldn't go out this night, they had been awake all day, they needed rest,all of them. She looked to Thorn. "Alright, alright, we'll hold shifts for watch,how about that?" She took note of who was there before continuing. "Oakfang, first watch, then me, Ravenfrost, Echostorm, and you, Thorn." She said to him. "As long as that is alright with you."

"...very well I suppose. But you'll only have to travel day to night tomorrow." He says.

Ravenfrost nods and sits back. "We should find a safer, more guarded place to sleep.

Mia watched as the tom practically fell to the forest floor in a bout of laughter and, a little embarrassed, she could only watch with her tail fluffed up. When he stopped and stood up again to speak, she flattened her ears.
"Well...it's not my fault I'm not...ehr...forest-born." She argued, a little determinedly. This cat certainly was not making it easy for her. Besides, her attentions had been drawn elsewhere. She could hear the crackling if bushes around them and the snapping of branches. There was something else here...and it smelled very interesting. Prey? Mia had never caught anything before. But maybe if she did, that would show this smug forest-cat.
She looked back at him with a disdainful look in her blue eyes, then turned back to where she'd heard the noise. Mia crouched down and waggled her haunches, then began to creep towards where she'd heard it. She could even hear the squeaking of a little mouse. Then, when she was sure it was close, she pounced. Yet, her paws slapped down on empty ground as the creature darted out of the way of her paws and scurried across past her, squeaking in terror all the while.

Sparrowcatcher was exhausted. After encountering that infected cat and after the entire trip home, all he wanted to do was to sleep. He dare not clean his fur of the blood, for he was scared that ingesting it would cause infection. And, not only that, but he was also limping quite heavily from the gash on his back left leg. He couldn't imagine how a dead cat could put such strength behind a slash. But, maybe because they were dead, their bodies did not tell them when to stop, or if they were in pain. It was still strange, though.
Once he'd found himself back in SunClan territory, he found that he was getting wobblier and wobblier on his aching paws. Just before the camp entrance, his head swam terribly. Sparrowcatcher paused, trying to clear his mind of the haze. But he could not and, before he knew it, he'd stumbled to one side and collapsed in a dead faint.
